From the stands the track looked great! How about from the drivers seat?

track conditions ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff ff

to dry no bite 57 did not pull vacum 59 way to fast to be legal 1000.00 would be a bargain on that car

Not trying to pick a fight but the 57 car knew going in he couldnt pull vaccuum. THey didnt even attempt to pull vaccuum. They were just trying to get the car set up. As for the 59 car its 100% legal. They just took alot of time and effort to set the car up correctly and to tune it well. I read all the boards from all the local tracks to keep up on all the news. One of the things that always aggravates me is the negativity that spectators seem to throw at the drivers. If you dont have anything nice to post dont post anything at all :) I think for opening night the track did well. I agree they could use more cars. The track could have been a little bit tackier but I think it was as smooth as I have ever seen it. Dont mean to rant just wanted to defend some friends of mine.

the 59 car is legal hell it pulls 21ins of vac and the 57 car we got the motor and was tould it would pull but does not and the cam has not come in yet so friday it will pull

I heard thru the grapevine it has the same cam as that 12 car down in Malden and it pulled vacuum there.........Matter of fact, the motor in the 57 car came out of an e-mod that ran Malden last year and it pulled vacuum then. Mike Lough built it and got the cam specs from me. We've been using that same cam for years and only once could'nt pull vac. because both end seals on the intake had blown out. I'd say look somewhere else for your vacuum problem, i.e.-vacuum leak somewhere, carb not adjusted properly, valve lash too tight, etc. Bring that cam to me and I'll mic it for you to make sure it's the same cam.

thats what we tried so we got ahold of mike and he said that it had a bigger cam in it and would not pull

Good job 59..Glad to hear you won.. Ain"t it great to only race once and accused of cheating..The 13b car will be there friday night hes gonna try and get some practice so take it easy on him and good luck..

You know for the first night out I thought the track was great. Yes it got slick but there were no ruts bumps and other things that tear the hell out of your car and your body. The track was like glass. I would rather race a slick smooth track then a tacky rough as hell one. Good job guys I think there is going to be some good racing this year at ATP.

From the stands the track looked really smooth all the way to the top. But they only use about 8 ft right around the bottom where the moister is from draining off the bank. From a fans point of view I'd like to see them move the cars off the bottom. One groove around the bottom was a issue before and very boring racing. Maybe move the infield out some forcing them off the flat around the bottom. It will be dry slick but it might spread the cars out some.
Other wise they just need a little time to build some cars. If the track stays smooth I think the cars will begin to show up.

Hmmm... I do not remember talking to you about a camshaft, Stephens. I remember talking to Jeff Baldwin about it. I told him exactly what the specs are. I said the camshaft did not pull vacuum at the last race they ran that engine in due to an intake sealing issue. I did not say that the camshaft was bigger and that it did not pull, so be careful. That camshaft pulled 15" vacuum in that engine in Jeff Tilley's dad's modified last year.

sorry but that is what we was told by jeff and he could not get it to pull no more then 12 not tring to say anything about you just what heppen sorry if it mad anyone mad but it would not pull they may not been set right but i think he set them at 27
