Inside Line Promotions - CLAY, N.Y. (July 22, 2014) - Joe Trenca is set visit Ohsweken Speedway for the third time in as many years.
Trenca will tackle the fast track next Monday for the Northern Summer Nationals, which will be his season debut at the 3/8-mile oval.
"I really like that track," he said. "There's a top and a bottom. It's real racy, wide and pretty fast."
Trenca's earned his lone top five at Ohsweken Speedway last year during the preliminary night of the Canadian Nationals.
"I think we could have finished second or won," he said. "We had a restart with two laps to go. I went around the top and the leaders went to the bottom. Going down the backstretch first and second got into each other and I had to check up."
Trenca finished with a fourth-place result, which gives him confidence going into Monday's 360ci event.
"I definitely feel we should be good there," he said. "Tracks I like and understand I seem to do better on. We're doing better with our big track program. Expectations are to finish in the top five or top 10."
If the Mucci Motorsports team gets its 410ci engine back on time, Trenca will make his World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series career debut on Tuesday, July 29, at Ohsweken Speedway for the Six Nations Showdown.
