The last post from Steve Birmingham on the main page said the season opener at Tri-City in 2005 is Saturday April 2. He said no changes to the weekly show. I thought Gundaker was switching to Sundays. Is this an error by Steve?

Doc Lehman's interview says Sunday and that has been what Kevin has told me. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Why not a Sunday show? I was told it was going to be a Sunday show and starting at 3pm. That would be ok with me. But i gusse we will have to see what Kevin says. :D :)

Dont think you can start a show at 3 in the afternoon..too too too hot..track will go away..and fast. If you start later..say..4 or 5..by the time heats start...sun will be right in your eyes coming off 4..and thats not a good deal.

You're right Mike. So, start the show at 1 pm. Be done by the time the sun is going down and in your eyes. As far as the track going dry slick, so what, it did that anyway this year with everyone on the quarter. Heat? It is hot on Sat nights sometimes too. Live with it. Sell a lot more drinks at the concessions.

At least it would give everyone a chance to get home, shower, eat and relax for a few hours before going to bed.

If you start too early racers won't have time to maintence their cars from saturday, and day races are single groove dust fests that kill tires. How about we let them get settled in and tell us what they are going to do.

Saturday or Sunday it's still a great track. My only complaint or request would be to improve the lighting in the corners on the 1/4 mile.
