Pontoon Beach, IL (April 19, 2007) Tri-City Speedway will finally get their 2007 racing season underway this Friday night. Mother Nature has played havoc with getting the opening of the newly reconfigured 3/8 mile facility. With a great weather forecast for Friday, Tri-City Speedway looks forward to seeing the racers and fans coming out for opening night.
A special test and tune session was held Wednesday night in which over 135 racers came out to test their racing equipment.
Friday night's action will feature Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, CARS sanctioned crate engine late models, Street Stocks and UMP 4 Cylinders.
The pit gate will open at 5pm and hotlaps will begin at 6:45pm with racing at 7:30pm.
Tri-City Speedway is located in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. The track is located across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, MO. Take exit 4 off of I-270 and then go a 1/2 mile south on SR 203.
