Tri-City Speedway presents the 3rd Annual Fed-Ex 50 this Sunday! Someone will absolutely, positively

Pontoon Beach, IL (May 22, 2008) Some of the top UMP DIRTcar Late Model drivers in the nation will be on hand for Sunday's Fed-Ex 50 at Tri-City Speedway which features an impressive purse paying $10,000 to the winner and $700 to start the A-Main.

Some of the national drivers expected to be on hand include Billy Moyer, Jimmy Mars, Rick Eckert, Tim McCreadie, Bart Hartman, Shane Clanton, Brady Smith, Steve Francis, Jimmy Owens, Don O'Neal, Dan Schlieper and defending UMP DIRTcar National and UMP DIRTCar Summer Nationals Champion Dennis Erb along with many others. Many of the top local teams will be on hand as well.

Bill Frye of Green Briar, AR won the inaugural Fed-Ex 50 in 2006 and Shannon Babb of Moweaqua, IL took the 2007 title. Make sure you are on hand this Sunday evening to find out who will be crowned the 2008 Champion.

Also competing will be UMP DIRTcar Modifieds with $1,000 going to the winner and $100 to start the A-Main along with the UMP DIRTcar Pro Late Models which will pay $500 to win.

Pit gates open at 2pm and the general admission gates will open at 4pm. General Admission will be $25 with kids 12 and under free when accompanied by an adult.

Tri-City Speedway is located in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. The track is located across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, MO. Take exit 4 off of I-270 and then go a 1/2 mile south on SR 203.
