The ULMA “Triple Crown Shootout” presented by Mr. G’s Liquor, West Highway 50 in California, Missouri, will officially begin on Thursday, July 1 at Lucas Oil Speedway. The huge weekend of racing continues on Friday, July 2 Central Missouri Speedway and Callaway Raceway, and then concludes on Saturday, July 3 at Central Missouri Speedway at the track’s annual late model special event. All ULMA members receive double point finishes over the three-night race period regardless if they enter the Triple Crown Shootout or not. The double point finishes will help make up some of the lost racing due to the seventeen rain-outs experienced so far this season. Central Missouri Speedway has waived its track registration fee for the entire race weekend of its annual track late model special. The Triple Crown Shootout entry is separate from the CMS track special entry fee. Triple Crown Shootout entries will be available at Lucas Oil Speedway for drivers wishing to enter this special event.

Triple Crown Shootout entrants will be eligible for added cash and contingency prizes from affiliated tracks and sponsors. Event entries and complete details are on the main page of the official ULMA web site at www.ulmaracing.com. Entry for the event is just $40 for member drivers … only member drivers who enter the Triple Crown Shootout are eligible for added contingencies and cash prizes as part of the Triple Crown Event. ULMA wishes to thank Mr. G’s Liquor, J&T Racing Supplies, TCI, RacingJunk.com, Rod End Supply, Lucas Oil Speedway, Central Missouri Speedway, and Callaway Raceway for their support of the Triple Crown Shootout.

Andy Kennedy and Trace Westling again posted top five finishes with Harlen Kennedy, R.D. Peterson, Danny Lorton, Chris Cox, and Zeke Langley all finishing inside the top ten. Thirteen member drivers were present among the seventeen total drivers on hand. Double ULMA finish points are on the line for the feature event on Thursday night.
