Lonnie Wheatley, DODGE CITY, Kan. (July 9, 2014) – With a successful Boothill Showdown in the books as the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars battled it out before a packed house this past weekend, another pair of big events are on the docket for the balance of July at Dodge City Raceway Park.

Action will resume atop the 3/8-mile clay oval on Saturday night, July 19, with the Second Annual Modified Stampede with the month then rounding out with URSS Sprint Cars headlining First Responder Night on Friday, July 25.

The Second Annual Modified Stampede on July 19 will offer up a $1,200 winner’s share as the IMCA Modifieds mix it up in their biggest DCRP event of the year. Forty drivers took part in the inaugural version of the Modified Stampede last year.

While the Modifieds battle it out for the big money, track points are on the line as well for the Modifieds with the other track championship chase divisions in action as well including the IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Thunder Cars and Hornets.

Then, six nights later, Dodge City Days kicks off with First Responder Night on Friday, July 25. URSS Sprint Cars headline First Responder Night, as the series makes its third stop of the year atop the 3/8-mile clay oval. Zac Taylor and Jake Bubak have topped the previous pair of URSS events at DCRP this year.

The URSS Sprint Cars will be joined on First Responder Night by IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and Thunder Cars.

Both nights of action get under way at 7:30 p.m. Adult admission is $15 for each event with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Pit passes are $30 for each event.

Dodge City Raceway Park is located on the south edge of Dodge City, KS, on US 283, then 0.9 miles west on US 56, then 0.1 miles south. For more information, contact the track at 620-225-3277 or check www.dodgecityraceway.com.
