U.M.P. Makes Exciting Announcements Regarding the 2004 Stacker 2® Xtreme Series’ Remaining Events
Press Release, United Midwestern Promoters/Stacker 2® Xtreme DirtCar Series

EVANSVILLE, IN (September 9, 2004) – United Midwestern Promoters and the Stacker 2® Xtreme DirtCar Series are proud to welcome the return of RSBN.net as an official partner of the U.M.P./Stacker 2® Xtreme Series for three remaining 2004 XDCS events. RSBN.net, the world’s largest internet radio station dedicated to motorsports, was previously affiliated with the Stacker 2® Xtreme DirtCar Series before taking an unexpected hiatus earlier this year and is delighted to rejoin the series.

“All of us at RSBN.net are pleased to join forces with U.M.P. and return as a key ingredient into the continued success of the Stacker 2® Xtreme Series,” commented Larry Jobe, Vice President of RSBN.net. “We share the same goals, vision and commitment to the dirt late model community and Stacker 2® XDCS competitors, fans and sponsors as the management of U.M.P. We are thrilled to be able to add the popular Stacker 2® XDCS back into our lineup and share it with the thousands of loyal fans who tune in on a regular basis.”

Series’ leaders have announced that three of the four remaining Stacker 2® events will be broadcast live on RSBN.net. “We are excited about RSBN.net’s reentry into the dirt late model scene with the most energized tour available – the Stacker 2® Xtreme DirtCar Series. Based upon their reputation and enthusiasm for the XDCS, we feel that our series’ and RSBN.net make a perfect alliance because of our common goals and mutual commitments to the teams, fans and sponsors,“ stated U.M.P. Director of Operations, Michelle Petroff. “While we had hoped to air all four remaining 2004 U.M.P./XDCS events, technical limitations at the Springfield Mile prevented us from meeting that goal. These three events will also air on SPEED but we are counting on our fans to tune in to the RSBN.net broadcasts to help us gauge the interest for our 2005 plans so we can encourage more tracks to provide the resources necessary to broadcast a show.”

The first event that will be broadcast live will be “The 22nd Annual U.M.P. Pepsi Nationals w/Stacker 2® Xtreme DirtCar Series” from I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO, on Saturday, September 18th. U.M.P./XDCS will also partner with RSBN.net to bring the Xtreme portion of the “15th Annual Dixie Shootout” at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, GA) on Friday, October 8th, and the three events of the “Xtreme Nationals” at Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, IA) that will take place on October 14th-16th. The “U.M.P. Turbo Blue Illinois’ Fall Nationals w/Stacker 2® XDCS” will take place as scheduled on September 19th at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, but will not be able to be broadcasted.

In related news, the management of the Stacker 2® Xtreme DirtCar Series in conjunction with the promoters at Dixie Speedway and Knoxville Raceway wish to reiterate our more-inclusive tire rule for the upcoming Stacker 2® Xtreme events at these tracks. For the Xtreme portion of the “Dixie Shootout” at Dixie Speedway teams will be allowed to run the Hoosier D-55 or LM 40 equivalent. They will also have the choice of the Hoosier D-21 or LM 20 equivalent. No LSB tires will be allowed but the Goodyear X-300 and 400 compounds are also legal. Competitors participating in the “Xtreme Nationals” at Knoxville Raceway will be allowed to use the Hoosier LM 20 or 40 as well as the WISSOTA 20 or 55 equivalents, Goodyear X-300 or 400 or Hoosier WRS 55. Please note that whatever brand of tire a competitor qualifies on, they must utilize for the remainder of the event.
