Ump modified championship chase?

Well this thread was for none of you it was for Jimmy Dearing so thanks for making it into a shit show. By the way why do you even care rusty aren't you supposedly in a late model now I think I see your name show up in the results every once in a while sure wish we couldve seen you stay in a modified to get that tail whipped lmao

The short answer is yes, Harrison can still catch Michael Long in the points. Long has more wins than Harrison, but Harrison has more bonus point wins.

There are 2 big nights of AMS Modified racing this weekend at Peoria (bonus points for sure), plus Mod Mania next weekend at Tri-City, then Eldora Fall Nationals.. That is 6 more nights that will all surely have full bonus points.

I'm not exactly sure what points Harrison has that he can replace. I know Michael Long is maxed out unless there are bonus points. In other words, Long can't get anymore points even with a feature win unless there are 26 or more cars at the track.

But Long will be tough at Mod Mania and could definitely wrap it up there with some wins.

Both are exceptional drivers and exceptional people. My favorite all time racing moment was when Long ran into Bobby Pierce after a dirty Pierce slide job on Harrison. I couldn't pick Long out of a line up but I became a fan of his after seeing that!

Agree Al.
With what jimmy said above it sounds like Harrison has some finishes to replace other then 1st place finishes which is a good thing for Harrison.. Say mike has a 2nd place finish (70 points) that he will replace and he gets a bonus points win at one of the bigger races that are left (Peoria, tri city, Eldora) that would be 80 points. That would be 10 points that he would gain on Long... It's very possible it could happen... Long is very tough at tri city but Harrison runs well also.
Maybe Griffaw don't know as much as he thinks...

Griffaw drives late models so he doesn't know the mod crowd. Not that he ever drove a mod or anything .....

Griffaw should show up in a modified at mod mania and beat them both .......

If nick Hoffman shows up for mod mania, my money is on him for atleast 1 win

I went back and read what I posted and both posts were full of truth as far as me racing a mod on the safe side I would say I would have probably cost both of them five wins from there current win total going off history of the past few seasons I normally get around 10 give or take like it or not it's pretty close I bet there's got to be a fact checker dying to prove me wrong go ahead lol

so are you going to go steal some wins for mod mania?

Nope don't have a car to ,I will do my best to make the shows in my LM ,I will enjoy watching the great race for the championship though ! Good luck to both of them the fans will be the real winners at mod mania!

I stated before that both of these guys are good... We should all be thankful that mod racing in this area is 2nd to none. Can't wait until next Thursday... The best of the best will be there and us fans are very fortunate it's in our backyard.

I would guess barring mechanical issues long has it covered in the year 2016 when long and Harrison have been at the same track I would say long has won 9 out of ten times and why would he travel he normally makes between 1600-2000$ per weekend sweeping races at all three tracks
i believe you're wrong... Harrison has a great shot and it looks like Long is a sitting duck right now...

I got a hundred on Long it's hard to get points in the rain and it's hard to beat him at mod mania or eldora for that matter momentum is momentum doesn't matter which track

Not sure why anyone who is a true weekend warrior racer would even root against Long he builds his own cars ,motors, bodies everything in the family it's not like me and Long are best friends or anything I just respect what he does and hope he wins

Ill tell ya what rusty im a betting man and would love taking you up on that wager that if they race all the races that are left with no rainouts ill take harrison for $100 if your up for it.
