That they would Chewin .... Dang these guys are tight!!!!!! Way Impressive :) Good Luck to all .... It's been fun watching this point race this year... Lot's of shuffling since last week :)

Actually from what I've been hearing, Once the season is over and the final points are tallied Jeff Leka may have a 30 to 40 point lead on both Harrison and Griffaw. Time will tell I guess.

This is all really exciting stuff though.

T-Dog,
I believe you hit the nail on the head. But.....the UMP final @ Eldora still can and probably will decide the champion!

The race at KLMS in a couple of weeks could draw in excess of 100 cars and could be a factor as well.

I'm not sure how Jeff Leka could get more points... The points were audited for the season just a couple of weeks ago.

I believe rainouts are supposed to be made up within a few weeks of when they happened..

How the drivers make the "jump" is with the "replacement week" (Not a rain out week).

If you look at the number of weeks you can earn points there are actually 24 weeks; however, a driver only gets to count 23 weeks. If he already has 23 weeks of points, then the 24th week can REPLACE his worst finish.

What I have been told is Leka has a 12th place finish which gave him 18 points for that feature and that is what is calculated in his points right now. If he races the 24th week and WINS, he REPLACES an 18 point feature with a 60 point feature giving him 42 (60 less 18) MORE points than what is now calculated.

I don't know what the worst week for Harrison and Giffaw is, but they can do the same. Also ...if the KLMS race is still in the point gathering 24 week timeframe, if they draw over 100 cars I believe you get 1 1/2 points for those races, so a feature WIN becomes worth 90 points!!!!

Also note ... Eldora is a REPLACEMENT race NOT an extra race. So once again, unless Griffaw, Harrison, or Leka does BETTER at Eldora than their WORST finish so far, it will not be a factor.

Bad Bear

I think you hit the nail on the head.... :) And hat's off to all the drivers what a GREAT race for the CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!

Trackjeff: Here's a sugg or two. Color that hair and put jalupa sauce on those nails will keep the mouth off them lol!!! Congrats to Rusty on a fine year and your efforts as well as all involved... Either way it turns out you all should be proud of this IMPRESSIVE year ya'll have had :)

I'm sure Rusty & Mike both have had weeks where they didn't run in the top 5 as well.

One thing is for sure, it won't be settled until they get to Eldora.
