USAC – SCRA Non-Wing Sprints Invade The Farmer City Raceway Friday, August 15

The exciting non-wing sprint cars are set to do battle on the fast ¼ mile oval at the Farmer City Raceway, located in Farmer City, IL, this Friday night, August 15th. Fans will be treated to over 50 sprint cars from USAC, SCRA and local drivers all converging in Farmer City for the first time ever.

The event being billed as the sprint car showdown between the East and West will include USAC drivers like J.J. Yeley, Jay Drake and Dave Darland against SCRA drivers Richard Griffin, Corey Kruseman and many more.

Also, racing Friday night will be the UMP Modifieds and the Farmer City Street Stocks.

Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. with practice at 6:30 and the racing action will start at 7:30 p.m. Adult General Admission is $22.00 with Children 11 & under – FREE.

Track Enterprises then moves to the mile oval at Springfield for the traditional USAC Silver Crown races Saturday, August 16 and the ARCA stock cars and the Wynn’s Sportsman Nationals, Sunday, August 17. Adult ticket prices for Saturday and Sundays races are $20.00 each day for adults and children 11 & under are $10.00 For more information call 217-764-3200.


ROGER LONG TAKESE THE CHECKERED FLAG TWICE ON FRIDAY NIGHT

Roger Long won the Late Model feature event and the RPM Dash for Cash both on Friday night. Roger Long takes the victory for the Late Model Track Champion for the 2003 season. Behind Roger in the feature event was Eric Smith, Donny Walden, Jr.Shickel and Mike Mullvain. Modified winner was Jeff Leka pushing himself ahead even more in the point lead. Sportsman winner was Jim Felker Jr. and Street Stock feature winner was Richard Peddycoart.
