The ½ mile Terre Haute Action Track will host USAC National Sprint Series’ final visit to Indiana this season on Saturday, September 4th. Pepsi’s USAC Sprint Fall Harvest Classic presented by Clabber Girl Corp. is a pivotal race in the points’ chase for the series top drivers.

In 2003, J.J. Yeley took the checkers at the Classic, just weeks before claiming victory in all 3 USAC National series. There’s no doubt Jay Drake is hoping a win at Terre Haute will further his points lead over Bud Kaeding & teammate Cory Kruseman.

All of USAC’s top drivers are expected to qualify for the field on September 4th. But the real story may be Robinson, IL native Matt Neely. Neely is very familiar with the local dirt tracks in the Midwest from his dominance in the U.S. Dwarf Car Association. In 2003, Neely joined the United States Auto Club, racing both Midgets & Sprints. In last year’s Fall Harvest Classic, Neely finished an impressive fifth, alongside top finishers Tracy Hines, Boston Reid & Bud Kaeding. It will certainly be exciting for local race fans to see Neely take on these big names once again at the Action Track.

UMP Modifieds will continue their season-long points race at the Action Track. These fiercely competitive drivers have been putting on some exciting races this season, and September 4th should be no exception!

Gates open at 4pm, Racing starts at 7:30pm.
