Atlanta, GA - Dec. 16, 2011 - A change has been made in the original plans for the United Speed Contest Sanction (USCS) banquets. The 2011 season awards banquet for both the United Sprint Car Series National Championship and USCS Southern Thunder Tour regional series awards will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 12:30pm at Andretti Indoor Karting and Games located in the Atlanta suburb of Roswell, Georgia. The USCS Mid-South Thunder Tour presented by Goodyear Awards. K&N Filters USCS Modiifed Touring Series and the www.RockAuto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series Mid South Lightning ceremony will be the following weekend on Saturday, February 4,
2012 in Memphis, Tennessee with the location to be announced soon.
Additionally recognized at the 2011 USCS National banquet for the Atlanta, Georgia based sanctioning body will be the top drivers in the new www.RockAuto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series National Championship and USCS
600 Southern Lightning regional series.
Andretti Indoor Karting and Games is a state of the art entertainment facility owned by John and Mario Andretti. "Everyone who attended last season had so much fun that we were enticed to return" said USCS Preisdent, Pete Walton. "The place is just first class and great!" concluded Walton.
The facilities include racing decor including Mario and John Andretti racing memorabilia, etc. There will be competition on some of the fastest indoor karts anywhere plus good food and fun. For those wishing to come earlier or stay late there is a comedy club and lounge for evenings.
In addition to awards and door prizes being presented, the finalized 2012 schedules will be handed out and the 2012 awards program will be discussed at both meetings.
