Lexington, KY (February 5) VP Racing Fuels and NARA (North American Racing Association) series director Spencer Wilson are proud to announce VP Racing as a contingency sponsor to all NARA sanctions for the 2005 racing season. Sanctions include the Lucas Oil NARA DirtCar Series, O’Reilly Auto Parts NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts, and NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series.
Tabbed the “VP Racing Makin’ Power Heat Races”, the contingency program awards a $50 gift certificate to the winner of each heat race event for the entire season in the NARA DirtCar Series and Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series, while heat race winners in the Modified series will receive a $25 gift certificate. To be eligible, racers must utilize VP fuel in their race car; prominently display the VP Racing decal on the front fenders of the race car; and provide proof of purchase of VP fuel.
Over the course of the racing season, each driver in all three sanctioned divisions will receive one point for winning their respective heat race event. A separate points tally will be kept and at the conclusion of the 2005 racing seasons for all three racing groups, the overall winner of the “VP Racing Makin’ Power Heat Race Challenge” will receive three drums of VP fuel. Second place in each division will receive two drums of VP fuel, and third place in each division will receive one drum.
