Lebanon,Mo.-Springfield driver Dave Ware took advantage of the Full Moon and found himself in the right place at the right time to capture the SuperLate Model feature at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway Sat night and became the 6th different winner in Late Model competition this season.

At the start of the Late Model feature,Lebanon's Jared Harris took the early command from his front row starting spot followed in tow by Kris Jackson. Point leader Brad Looney was coming up quickly from the 4th row and set his sights on the 2 Lebanon area residents. On lap 6, Looney who had made repairs to his GRT/Hatfield Chevy all night long after returning from Batesville took to the highside of the Speedway and gathered the lead. Dave Ware and 1988 LM champion Darrell Mooneyham were coming from the 5th row and working the traffic hard. The first yellow would wave as Darrin Barton scrapped the frontstretch wall in turn 1 bringing out the yellow on lap 8. On the restart, Looney powered alomost a half a straightaway ahead of Jared Harrid in his Dodge as Tim Brown was on the move also from deep in the pack. While racing Ware and Mooneyham for position, Brown spun in turn 4 bringing out the yellow on lap 12. During the caution, leader Looney would feel the full moon effect as a left-rear shock broke ending his night and giving Harris the lead with Ware on his bumper. On lap 13,Ware powered by Harris and cruised to his 1st feature win of the season and became the 6th different LM winner in 6 point races this season. Following Ware was Harris, Donnie Gemes making his finest showing at the Speedway, Darrell Mooneyham, and David Gemes at the checkered.

In the Modified Feature, pole setter Jef Miller brought the field down as the green flew, only to have Miller lose it in turn 4, and James Hartman also coming to a stop. Before the red could be displayed, a fast pack of cars collided in turn 2 and sent newcomer Gary Bell landing on top of Kevin Halderman's machine and also collected Brain Schutt and Jim Hayes ending there night early. On the restart, last weeks winner Jamie ragland stalled on the fronstretch taking him out of contention. The third time was a charm as Miller powered to the lead with Jason Meadors in close contention followed by Bill Gilliam, Scotty Atkinson, Darryl Turner, and point leader Erik Maggard. On lap 5, Atkinson made the move around Miller and Meadors following and now Eric Hudson was coming to the front quickly. The yellow would wave 2 laps later as Meadors came to a stop in turn 2 and Gilliam stalled on the backstretch bringing out the yellow. On the restart, Maggard powered by Atkinson to take the top spot with Turner now in tow as he shot to the inside of Atkinson to take over second spot. With Maggard still setting the pace, Turner began to reel him in as Atkinson and Eric Hudson were battling for 3rd place.A late caution for Don Luna's smoking motor bunched up the field and on the restart, Hudson shot to the inside of Turner to gather the runner-up spot as Maggard drove away to victory followed by Hudson, Turner, Atkinson, and Bob Maggard Jr at the line.
In the Superstock feature,Lebanon's Matt Pilant grabbed the lead from pacesetter Shawn Danuser on lap 3 and cruised to his first feature win of the season. The real battle was between Rick Brown and point leader Mike Joplin as the duo ran side by side and bumper to bumper in the late stages as Brown claimed a close second place finish followed by Joplin, Larry Prewitt, and early leader Danuser.

The Bombers put on another wild feature asJohn McGinnis took the opening lead as Donnie Jackson,Sam Peterson, and Rodney Jones were in tow. On lap 5, Lebanon's Brandon Knudtson took over the top spot as McGinnis started to fall back in the pack. While Knudtson set the pace, B feature winner Dusty Rhoades was making a charge from the 17th starting spot to the front. 2 laps later Rhoades took control as Casey Mooneyham was now putting himself into contention and former Bomber Champion Steve Shaw was quietly coming to the front. On lap 9,Rhoades pulled out with problems giving the lead back to Knudtson was Mooneyham was coming fast along with Craig Lonning. It was on lap 13 that things got real interesting as Mooneyham went for the lead over Knudtson and Shaw working the highside of the track as the leaders made contact, collecting each other and also gathered up Shaw in the wreck as Lonning pulled to the pits with motor problems. This gave the lead to Lebanon's Sam Peterson with Waynesville's Corey Simpson running second and B feature transfer lady driver Traci Hickson running third. On the red flag,Peterson had a flat tire and went to the pits to try to get it changed before the yellow lights came out to regain his spot.Dispite fast work, the yellow displayed and this put Corey Simpson as the leader as he also transfered from the B feature. In the final 2 laps,Simpson held on to record his 1st ever win with Marshfield's Traci Hixson charging around Donnie Jackson to take home the runner-up spot followed by Jackson(last weeks rollover victim)Peterson and Jim Cox.

In the Factorystock feature,Steve Schultz grabbed the early lead as Burl Woods was trying to keep his winning streak alive between Bolivar and Lebanon as he moved into second.Behind them was the battle for the third spot as Steve Melton,Cookie Blevins, and Sean Williams were battling hard.Darrin Crisler grabbed the top spot on lap 2 and gave Woods all he could handle as Williams and Blevins were battling for position and point leader Quintin Day was making his moves to the front. On lap 8,the yellow waved for sheet metal and leader Crisler pulled into the pits with problems as did point leader Day and early contender Schultz. On the restart with Woods in control,Sean Williams who lost the point lead last week was charging hard to battle leader Woods. As the duo went at it,Blevins was gaining ground on the leaders. On lap 12,Williams made the move to the inside as gathered the victory followed by Woods, Blevins, Melton, and a late charge from Jordan Holloway.

"Last Week on the way to Lebanon,we had problems in the towing rig and had to be towed back home not allowing us to race. This is a great way to return. This class is getting stronger in competition and car count also.Quintin has been running good,Burl has been on a roll lately, and add to that Crisler,Blevins and the tohers makes it fun."

Ken Jones took command early and never looked back in gathering the Pro 4 feature after taking the top spot fron Craig Mayo on lap 3.Following jones to the line were Robert Schoefield,Mayo,Lonnie Muhlbauer and a hard charging Rick Metcalf.
