(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) "The Batesville Bullet" Wendell Wallace picked up
his first late model win of the 2004 season last Friday night at the
Batesville Speedway in Locust Grove, AR. Wendell won his heat race and
started on the outside pole for the $3,000 to win O'Reilly MARS-sanctioned
race. The J&J Steel #88 GRT / Keith Craft Ford Taurus took the lead within
the first five laps and led the remaining circuits to bring home the
victory.

"That was a good win for us," exclaimed Wallace from his shop today. "We
led the majority of the race, but (Jeff) Floyd starting pressuring us pretty
hard there at the end. Our carburetor started to miss at the end of the
race and that was causing us to get a pretty severe push. It feels good to
get our first late model win of the year, especially at Batesville."

Wendell then traveled to West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, MO for
the Saturday night, $3,000 to win MARS event. The #88 ran strong all night
long and eventually wound up with a solid third place effort. Wendell
completed the weekend on Sunday in Monett, MO and the Monett Speedway. He
won his consolation race to gain a spot in the $3,000 to win MARS feature
event, but broke a rack and pinion early in the feature, ending his night.
He wound up finishing 22nd in the final point standings.

Wendell Wallace Autosports is unsure of where they will be competing this
coming weekend. The team is contemplating either hitting the two $3,000 to
win MARS shows in Oklahoma or the $15,000 to win 'Southern 100' at the Fast
Trax Motorplex in Chatham, LA. A decision will be made late in the week,
depending on the weather.

When a decision is made, you will be able to find out first by visiting
