(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Former Bama Bash winner Wendell Wallace visited the Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, AL again this past weekend for this year's edition of the $15,000 to win Bama Bash. Wendell qualified for the 75-lap main event by finishing second in his heat race in his J&J Steel #88 GRT / Craft Ford Taurus. "The Batesville Bullet" started eighth in the Bama Bash feature event and rode around in the seventh place spot for the majority of the 75-lap affair. With only two laps to go, former teammate Dale McDowell suffered a flat tire, giving Wendell a sixth place finishing position.

"It was typical daytime racing," said Wendell from his Batesville, AR shop. "After the start, you just kind of got in line and rode around. We had a good car though and finished sixth."

Wendell will be back at it again this coming weekend, but this time in an open wheel modified. He will head to the Fast Trax Motorplex in Chatham, LA to compete in a $10,000 to win modified event. Wendell will be piloting a car owned by Greg Campanovo from Clarksdale, MS. Greg competes throughout the south in his #19 modified. Wendell is unsure at this time if he will bring his familiar #88 Dirt Late Model along for the $5,000 late model show that accompanies the modified event at Chatham. A last minute decision will be made about driving the late model.
