(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Wendell Wallace Autosports racked up several Top Ten runs over the weekend at the annual Budweiser Spooker 50 weekend at the Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, OK. Not only was Wendell running his familiar MSE Distributing / J&J Steel #88 GRT / Craft Ford Taurus, but fellow pilot Jeff Taylor was chauffeuring one of his back-up mounts. They both competed in the $2,500 to win show on Friday night and the $5,000 to win event on Saturday.

On Friday night, Jeff got the better finish, as he came home a solid fourth in the feature. Wendell finished sixth in Friday night’s show, but had something for them the following night in the $5,000 feature. He started mid-pack in his GRT “house car” and got up to the second place spot by race end. Jeff had another strong finish, as he got paid for seventh at the pay window for his effort on Saturday night.

“Both cars were really good all weekend,” said GRT owner and founder Joe Garrison. “Jeff was experimenting a new rear suspension for us and I think that we have got something to work with there. He was real happy with it and his finishes show that it was pretty competitive.”

Wendell Wallace Autosports has made the decision to compete in this weekend’s Fall Classic 100 at Queen City Speedway in Meridian, MS. The $15,000 to win race weekend is scheduled to kick off on Friday night with preliminary events and the annual Fall Classic 100 is on tap for Saturday.
