(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The newly formed World of Outlaw Late Model Series invades Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, FL for their inaugural events next week and Wendell Wallace Autosports is looking forward to it. Wendell, one of talented drivers that have signed on to follow the WoO Series in 2004, will be competing in sanctioned events on Febraury 3, 4, 6, and 8. Those races pay $5,000, $5,000, $10,000, and $12,000 to win respectively. Wendell is looking forward to some strong finishes next week to gain some momentum for the rest of the WoO schedule.

“I am excited about the new World of Outlaw Series and glad to be a part of it,” stated Wallace from his new Batesville, AR shop. “The deal came together pretty quickly, but it gives us a chance to run for some pretty good money all season. I haven’t point raced for a few years, but I am ready to get back out there and compete for a point title. Another reason I am excited is because all of my sponsors are back on board for this year and “Little Man” is back with us again as the crew chief.”

After the four WoO-sanctioned events are completed, the UMP Late Model Series comes into Barberville for the second week of racing action. The J&J Steel / MSE Distributing #88 GRT House Car Ford Taurus will be competing in all six events that week. The UMP portion of Volusia Speedweeks kicks off on Monday, February 9 and wraps up on Saturday, February 14. The February 9-13 events will pay $5,000 to the winner each night with the finale on the 14th to pay $10,000. Wendell had several strong runs during his stint in the Daytona Beach area last February.
