Wendell Wallace topped an excellent field of Late Models to maintain his lead in the MARS late model series. Joining Wallace in victory lane were Todd Clifford with his first Modified win of the year and Claudie Cook, who topped the Hobby Stocks. Johnny Houart just edged Aaron Darby for the Street Stock honors, and Chris Kelley and Brandon Moore remained perfect for the year in Cruisers.

MARS series leader Wendell Wallace led from start to finish in an exciting feature race. Wallace and Billy James quickly checked out from the rest of the field and had quite a duel for 31 laps. The lead pair was in heavy lapped traffic from the 10th lap on. James looked both high and low for an opening and pulled even with Wallace on the back straight on lap 19, but
Wallace held thru turn three. A lap 31 caution reset the field and Wallace
pulled away once the traffic was out of his way and took the checkered flag by three seconds. James held on for second. Leslie Essary came around Gary Stolba on lap 34 to take third. David Gibson rounded out the top five. Heat winners were Matt Furman, Billy James, Wendell Wallace, and Brian Maynard.
Jeff Floyd won the B-Main.

No local points were awarded for Late Models.

Todd Clifford won a good three way battle for the lead and took the checkered flag in the Modified race. Greg King opened the race and threaten to run away early, but was soon joined by Jared Wagster and Clifford. The top 3 quickly pulled away from the rest of the field. Greg King had a slow restart following a lap 9 caution period and relinquished the lead to Wagster and fell behind Clifford also. On lap 18 Clifford made his move to the lead as he dove low out of turn two and outran Wagster down the back straight to grab the lead. Shawn Haynes was the best of the rest in fourth place with Ronnie Vernon fifth.

Heat winners were Mike Powers, King, and Wagster. Jess Short won the B-Main.

Ronnie Vernon holds a slim 4-point lead in the season standings in a very tight race. Only 15 points separate the top 5 positions.

The Street Stock was the final event of the evening and it went down to the final lap before it was decided. Aaron Darby grabbed the lead from the pole and was joined by Johnny Houart in a twelve-lap duel. From lap nine on the pair raced side by side with Houart taking his only lead just feet from the finish line to win his second feature of the year. It was a great close clean race. Eric Lacy took third, followed by Jim Hyde and Justin Rojas in the top five. Heat winners were Darby, Rojas, and Houart.

Darby maintains his commanding 111-point lead on the field with 6 top five finishes in 6 starts.
