(Batesville, AR) Wendell Wallace competed this past weekend at his home track of Batesville Speedway in Locust Grove, AR. Wendell was not in his normal #88 MSE Distributing / J&J Steel GRT House Car Ford Taurus, but rather behind the wheel of fellow racer Dan Leatherman's modified. The modified race paid $8,000 to win and also drew several top late model stars including Billy Moyer, Donnie Barnhart, Jeff Taylor, Richie Tosh, and several others, along with the top modified drivers from around the country.

Wendell started 23rd in the main event and was able to make his way through the 24 car starting field to finish in the eighth place position. He would like to thank Dan and the whole crew for the help and use of their racecar for this event.

"We needed another caution or two to help us get up through the field there at the end," said Wendell from his shop on Tuesday. "If we could have gotten a couple of late cautions, I believe we could have given those guys a run for their money."

Wendell Wallace Autosports will next be in action on April 4th and 5th at the James King Memorial at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. The 64-lap feature event will pay $11,000 to the winner. Wendell competed three weeks ago at Columbus and was running strong in the $8,000 to win Rebel Challenge, but was relegated to a 21st place finishing position due to a
mechanical failure. Keep up with all the latest news and information on Wendell Wallace Autosports at their official home on the web, www.wendellwallace.com.
