(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Wendell Wallace finished third in last Saturday
night's 'Alltel 100' at the Batesville Speedway in Locust Grove, AR.
Wendell qualified ninth fastest out of 294 competitors in qualifying last
Tuesday night. He earned a spot for the $100,000 to win event by finishing
second in the A-feature on Wednesday night. This gave him an inside second
row starting spot for the 100-lap 'Alltel 100.' In the 'Alltel 100,'
Wendell kept his #88 GRT modified up front for the entire 100 laps and
eventually wound up in the third spot at the end of the event.

"It was a good run for us last week," said Wendell from his Batesville, AR
shop on Monday. "We would have liked to been a little better, but that is
how it goes sometimes. We made some pretty good money and we got to stick
around the house and race."

"The Batesville Bullet" will hit the O'Reilly MARS circuit again this
weekend for a pair of $3,000 to win shows. Friday night's MARS show will be
held at the Tulsa Speedway in Tulsa, OK. Wendell and the team will travel
to Joplin, MO on Saturday for the MARS show at the Joplin 66 Speedway.
Wendell is currently leading the point chase in the O'Reilly MARS point
standings after five events. You can learn more about the events this
