(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) "The Batesville Bullet" Wendell Wallace landed an
eighth place finish in the 12th annual James King Memorial last weekend at
Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS. Wendell started eighth in the $12,000 to
win event and was as high as fifth before checking up for a fellow
competitor and losing a couple of positions. Wendell rode the rim for the
majority of the event that featured great two and three wide racing.

"We were rolling pretty good there in the feature," said Wallace crew chief
"Little Man" Todd Moser on Monday. "Wendell got up in the Top Five and then
we had to check up for another guy and it cost us a couple of spots. The
racing was really good on Saturday. That was probably the best Columbus has
been in a long time."

Wendell will return to action this coming weekend when he races in the
opening events of the O'Reilly Mid-America Racing Series. Friday night, the
J&J Steel #88 GRT / Keith Craft Ford Taurus will be at the Memphis
Motorsports Park in Memphis, TN for a $3,000 to win show. The following
night, Wendell will be competing at the I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, AR in
another $3,000 to win MARS show. For more information on these two events,
