(Batesville, AR) Wendell Wallace Autosports kicked off the first week of the annual UMP Summernationals this week. The series competes at 26 different venues in 9 different states in 27 straight nights of wheel-to-wheel dirt late model racing action. The following is a brief summary of Wendell’s weeklong efforts on the UMP Summernationals trail.

June 23 – Shawano Speedway, Shawano, WI $10,000 to win
Qualifying – 6th

June 24 – Hales Corner Speedway, Milwaukee, WI $6,000 to win
Qualifying – 5th

June 25, LaSalle Speedway, LaSalle, IL $6,000 to win
Qualifying – N/A
Dash – 7th
Heat – 1st
Feature – RAINED OUT, rescheduled for July 17 (non-points race)

June 26, Crown Point Speedway, Crown Point, IN $6,000 to win
Qualifying – 4th

June 27, Kankakee Motor Speedway, Kankakee, IL $10,000 to win

Wendell continues with week two of the Summernationals this week, as the J&J Steel / MSE Distributing #88 GRT / Craft Ford Taurus will travel to seven different tracks in as many days. The action for this week kicks off tonight at the Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute, IN. Wendell will then travel to Florence (KY) Speedway, Clarksville (TN) Speedway, Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway, Paducah (KY) Int’l Raceway, I-55 (MO) Raceway, and Montgomery County (MO) Speedway to round out the week.
