What do the racer & the bench racer think about these new soft walls there putting up at some of the nazcar tracks, I think its the best idea next to the shirt pocket. they wined about them for a while now they are popping up more and more,,This is a hell of a sport and to save lives these should go up everywhere, just my thought. What do I know??
 
I think its great that these tracks are putting them up, but Darlington shouldn't have. That track is very narrow allready. I would have to say the racing was still great though. Shame they're losing a date.
 
IF IT SAVES ONE LIFE ITS WORTH THE TIME AND MONEY.

CARS, HELMETS, HANS DEVICES ECT....ARE ONLY GONNA DO SO MUCH AT THE SPEEDS THESE CARS GO. I DON'T EVEN THINK SOFT WALLS ARE THE CURE ALL FOR RACING FATALITIES. WHEN ITS YOUR TIME ITS YOUR TIME. BUT, LIKE I SAID IF IT PROVES TO SAVE ONE LIFE ITS WORTH IT.
 
I feel that it is long over due, all of the saftey improvements have been forced on owners and drivers to come up with or pay for. The tracks and sanctioning bodies are really the people who are making the big bucks in this sport and it is time for them to do their part to help protect the drivers and equipment. There are ways to install the systems where the walls are currently, but it takes more time and money.

All new facilities should be built with the new systems in them, as it seems to me that it would be easier to do from the start than to do a retrofit.
 
I agree, these soft walls are saving the drivers. just wish Nascar would use their heads and keep the tradition of Darlington and Bristol by not cutting their races to give in to the owners of Texas and Vegas, yes they have nice tracks but they havent paid their dues like the older tougher tracks have.

I think they are long over due. As for Darlington and Bristol? I hate to see Darlington lose their race. And as for Bristol it won't happen. Alot of that is avbout seats and selling tickets for the money. Bristol does seat about 160,000. And Bruton owns it. Not gonna happen. Could be wrong. But doubt this one I am...
