wheel offset

what does changing the rear wheel offsets do. If I pull the right rear in one inch? What if I pull the left rear in one inch. I am in a street stock and am trying to loosen the car up a bit

if u stick rr in it should tighten the car. if u want to loosen try a 2" offset on rr and maybe a 3" or 4 on lr that should make the car come around a little easier. i like a 2 on rf also hope this helps

If the track is wet or tacky you want to push the RR out to get bite.
If the track is dry you want to push the LR out and bring the right back in to get bite.
for a base to start with try running 3,s on the front and 4,s on the rear. And go from there.
3,s and 4, are all we ever run on our street stock. You can adjust for wet/tacky/dry with your tire pressures. If the car is loose take pressure out of the left front and right rear. If the car is tight add pressure to the left front and right rear. Very seldom do you ever need to mess with the tire pressure in the RF or LR.
there again you need a base to start with.
LF - 15lb, RF - 28lb, RR - 24lb, LR - 20lb = loose
LF - 12lb, RF - 28lb, RR - 22lb, LR - 20lb = tight
Where do you race ? What kind of tire stagger are you running. Tire stagger plays a big part in how the car handles.
I hope this helps you.........

all of the advice here really depends on may factors. (spring rates, tire pressures, the weight of the car, and how the weight is distributed) more information is needed to determine whether changing a wheel offset will fix your push.

I run at Mt. vernon and we use the hoosier e-mods. Also, I forgot to ask what would changing the front offsets do.
