Wide Five Rearend

Moving into a modified and have a 9" floater rearend with wide five snouts on it. I was wondering if this would be legal to run on an UMP modified or if I would need to change the snouts to accept a different hub. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Matt

the snouts on the rearend are fine, you just need to get a different hub(coleman, or afco) that will accept the 5x5 or the 5x4 3/4 bolt pattern wheels...

i beleive that the snout for a wide 5 is the same as a 5x5 floater hub...buy a hub and bearing kit from afco or coleman and it should go right on.

wide five and 5x5 are different. afco makes a mini 5, the bearings are the same but the snout is shorter i think. wide five is not legal in ump modified. You could put the GN snout on it which would cost about $100 plus labor. a new mittler bros housing is $325 bare $1100 complete A winters is $749 but not near the quality of the mittler
