Wheatland, MO (May 7th, 2007)-Chris Williams capped off a thrilling night of weekly racing series action at the Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday night, May 5th by winning the Hobby Stock feature on the 1/4 mile. Eric Turner also had a successful night winning the feature event in the Miller Lite Late Models, the Pitt's Homes A-Modifieds, and the TCI Transmission Factory Stocks on the 3/8 mile clay oval.
In the Hobby Stock Feature, Chris Williams jumped out to the lead from his outside front row starting position and held off the challenges of Mike Schrader from Sedalia, MO to claim the win in the final feature event of the evening. Schrader would go on to finish second with Donald Belt, Adam Belt, and Trevor Fitzgibbon rounding out the top-5. Michael Dameron, Jacob Hall, and Nathan Vaughn came home in 6th through 8th.
The TCI Transmission Factory Stocks saw a repeat winner as Eric Turner grabbed the win followed by Aaron and Bob Gustin from Osage Beach, MO in the 2nd and 3rd spots. Big Al Thompson and James Flood would finish 4th and 5th respectively. The remainder of the top 10 included Roger Flood, Eddie Barnes, Tim Riffle, Troy Reasoner Jr. and Keith Webster in the white 77W.
Eric Turner would make it two for two on the night by capturing the win in the Pitts Homes A-Modified feature as 37 of the area's best modifieds rolled through the Lucas Oil Speedway pit gates. The Modifieds put on another outstanding show running a caution free 20-lapper. Johnny Fennewald was a close second with Terry Kirk, Rex Merritt, and Justin Stoufer finishing in the Top 5. Chris Tonoli, Rusty Dukes, Jason Pursley, Richard Turner, and Harrisonville, Missouri's Luke Feback were 6th through 10th.
The Miller Lite ULMA Late Models would see 26 cars take the green flag in the feature and in his first start in a late model this season; Eric Turner would take the win from the pole. A terrific battle ensued behind him as Jeff Schlup from California, MO and the defending Late Model track champion Kevin Kaiser fought door to door with Schlup taking the runner up spot and Kaiser finishing in third. Shawn Williams and J.D. Hubert completed the Top 5. A spirited battle behind them would see Matt Menzie from Clever, MO take 6th with Kathy Pierson a close 7th for her best finish of the young season. Rylan Long, Kenny Carroll, and Brandon Dunham would take 8th-10th.

Upcoming Events: May 11th-12th will feature the signature event of the 2007 racing season at the Lucas Oil Speedway, The Superchip's Diamond Nationals presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts. All of the top stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the O'Reilly MLRA, along with drivers from across the nation will be on hand to battle it out for the $25,000 to win top prize. A-Modifieds will also be in action for $2,000 to win. May 18th-19th will feature a different kind of horsepower as the Barnes PRCA rodeo rides into town for two thrilling nights of rodeo action. The month of May will wrap up on May 26th with a full schedule of weekly racing action along with the Pomme De Terre Car Show from 8:00am-1:00pm.
