Lebanon,Mo.-The High-banks of the Lebanon I-44 racing was as hot as the weather on Sat night as another new winner claimed his first ever I-44 Career victory in the USRA modified feature as the Jimmy Willis streak in the Lebanon town keeps rolling.

The USRA Modified feature had 2006 track champion Justin Neuman jump to the lead on the start and was using the top side pulling out to a big lead while Jimmy Willis and Mookie Cunningham along with Corey Simpson were battling.Neuman, the current USRA I-44 point leader looked untouchable until lap 8 when the car slide sideways in turn 1 bringing out the yellow flag.It was determined later that the driveshaft broke giving Jimmy Willis the lead.Willis who in the last 3 weeks at the Midway Speedway has captured 2 wins and a second place was in position to grab his first ever I-44 feature event. On the retart,Corey Simpson went to the top sdie while Willis was determined to stay on the bottom groove.Willis would pull away after a couple of lap to open the lead, but with 1 lap to go the yellow flew as Cunningham spun in turn 1.On the restart,Simpson shot to the top side again, but willis was prepared as he opened up a 4 car length lead and claimed his first ever I-44 Win with Simpson,Danny Atkinson,Bill Glawson and Cunningham completing the top 5.

The Bomber feature provided close racing all night long as points runner-up Tim Jones shot to the opening lead with point leader Joe Francis right behind him as 2 and 3 wide racing was flowing behind the lead duo. After 1 lap was complete,Francis had a wheel come off and spun in front of the pack as Russell Ireland hit the point leader as he had nowhere to go_On the restart,Tim Jones continued to set a fast pace as Dennis Jones was coming quickly followed by last weeks winner Landon Johnson and rookie Rodney Yost.Johnson moved around Jones and began his charge to the lead on lap 4.Jones and Johnston battled hard until lap 8 when Johnston took the lead, but third place runner Dennis Jones lost a wheel in turn 4 ending his night and putting Tim Jones back in the lead.On the restart,Johnston pulled even but Jones kept the top spot until lap 10 when Johnston made his winning pass to claim win number 2 this season with Tim Jones,a hard charging Rich Reynolds,Josh Lewis and Patrick West completing the top 5.

The B-Mod feature saw Trent Harrison jump to the early lead over pole setter and current point leader Josh Woody and lead the opening lap,but lost a right front tire giving the lead to Woody with Mickey Burrell right on his bumper along with last weeks winner Jason Otto and Brandon Pister.Woody and Burrell battled all night long, but Woody withstood the challange and held on to grab the win with a tight battle for second place as Burrell,Pister,Otto and Tyler Brown completed the top 5.

The LegendCars made a rare apperance to the Speedway and provided close racing all 20 laps.Dave Bauer jumped from his front row pole spot to grab the opening lead with Jason Rayle a close second as three wide racing was behind the lead duo_On lap 5,Park Jones who started 12th in the feature had his car into the top 5 and charging hard along with Justin Comer and Rob Watson as a 5 car battle developed for the lead with Bauer still setting the pace.Jones was on the move to third place when on lap 12 his transmission began to give away and his night ended.Up front Bauer and Rayle were battling hard with Bauer using the top groove and Rayle on the bottom of the track.Coming to the white flag,Rayle tried several passes on Bauer, but Bauer hung on to grab the victory with Rayle,Justin Comer,Dave Comer and Rob Watson in the top 5.

The FactoryStock feature was alittle short on cars but kept everyone on the edge of there seats with 3 wide racing.Point leader Lonnie Henderson grabbed the opening lead as Tyson Troutman stayed close to the leader on the inside lane. These two battled side by side as Tim Riffle was right behind them and on lap 10 made it three wide on the backstretch.Riffle and Troutman touched in turn 2 and Riffle went spinning as this allowed Henderson to pull away and clain the feature win with Troutman hanging on to second with Riffle and Ted Ballinger following.

The Rookie feature was all Dave Meldrum as he took the opening lead but not without excitement behind him as Micheal Stafford,Jason Brumbley,Jeff Brown and Tom Powers were all fighting for the second place spot with 3 wide action and all kept going forward.Stafford who was been fast all season long finally found some luck by finishing in the runner-up spot to Meldrum as Brown,Powers and Brumbley completed the top 5 in a caution free event.

Up next for the I-44 Speedway and the Central Bank Racing Series on Aug 9-The UMP LateModels will be returning to the high-banks in a $750 to win feature along with 305 Winged Sprints,B-Mods,Bombers and Rookies.
