Inside Line Promotions - PORT ROYAL, Pa. (Oct. 31, 2018) - Greg Wilson wraps up his 2018 campaign this weekend during the World of Outlaws World Finals.
Wilson and his Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics and Gear Alloy Wheels sponsored team will compete Thursday through Saturday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
"World Finals is an exciting event that garners a lot of attention," he said. "There will be a lot of fans there and a ton of great drivers competing so it's always a lot of fun. Since it's the final race of the season it's also important to run well to try to end the year with some momentum."
Wilson scored his second career World of Outlaws triumph at the track in May 2016.
"It's always a confidence booster to go to a track where you've won," he said. "If that track can get slick and wide that would play to our strengths."
Wilson raced in the Tuscarora 50 hosted by Port Royal Speedway last Sunday. The event's preliminary night rained out on Friday prior to the finale being shifted back a day because of the inclement weather. Track conditions were fast, making passing a difficult task.
"Kudos to Port Royal for getting the show in," he said. "On a track like that qualifying is everything because it's so difficult to pass. We didn't get qualified in where we wanted so it was uphill for the rest of the night."
