Inside Line Promotions - BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (April 24, 2019) - Greg Wilson is hopeful Mother Nature will play nice this weekend when the Ollie's Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions is scheduled to compete in his home state.
Wilson and the All Stars are slated to race on Friday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, and on Saturday at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio. Four of the six points races have been rained out this season, including a pair at Attica Raceway Park last weekend.
"Hopefully the weather is good for the weekend," he said. "I'm sure they'll have full grandstands at both places. It's always fun to run in front of a great crowd."
Wilson and his Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics and Gear Off Road sponsored team rank fifth on the all-time 410 sprint car win's list at Attica Raceway Park with 19 trips to Victory Lane.
"I'm pretty excited to go back," he said. "We have a lot of All Star races there this year and with the Brad Doty Classic being there, hopefully we'll learn more about some of the changes we've been making and get an opportunity to try it on a place we're more familiar with."
Wilson has also had a successful career at Wayne County Speedway. However, he hasn't competed at the track in several years.
"The last couple of times we were there, which was four or five years ago, we got to the point where we were getting around the place pretty good," he said. "They always have a great crowd and the people who run it do a great job with that place. I'm looking forward to getting back to Wayne County."
