I've got a 91 f150 302 automatic,has died several times won't start.Replaced computer,coil,ignition module,cap,rotor,fuel pump.Not getting fire from coil.need help!!! new parts tested good before installig.

Sounds like blue oval syndrome!

Do you have injector pulse? if no fire, and no pulse, most likely pick-up coil in distributor. dont even try to replace it, you seldom get the dist gear off without destroying it. just get a new/rebuilt or used distributor. You can hook up the new dist without installing it and make sure the housing is grounded, with the key on, rotate the shaft and see if you have spark, there's your problem. Good luck, Greg

Yep pickup coil in distributor is bad. Real common problem with the ford. You can try to get the gear off the distributor....but like was said. Usually breaks. And a gear is expensive.....can buy a reman distributor for about the price.

no fire

fuel pump was replaced before it quit running.just letting people know what has been done,to help with diagnosis of problem.

best and cheapest thing to do is take it to ford ,have it hooked up on the computer and fix it once..man you can spend a fortune guessing on what is wrong

it started

I would like to thank gdirt and racin90 for your tips on the distributor.Bought one today dropped it in,and started on first try. Thanks!!!

I'm surprised about midget racer it wasn't german or a 4 cylinder and he knew something about it lol just kidding Art
