WHAT
• After completing three races in a four day period over the Independence Day Holiday weekend, the World of Outlaws Sprint Series return to action, as they thunder into Lawrenceburg Speedway for some quarter-mile mania on Friday. It’s the City of Lawrenceburg Sprint Nationals that were postponed by rain on April 21. Following the race, the Mean 15 will make the trip west to I-55 Raceway for the second time this season.

WHEN
• On Friday at 81 at Lawrenceburg Speedway, pit gates will open at 10 a.m., while grandstand gates will open at 4 p.m. and on-track activity will begin at 7 p.m.

•On Saturday at I-55 Raceway, pit gates will open at Noon, with grandstand gates opening at 3 p.m. and on-track activity begins at 6 p.m.


WHERE
• Lawrenceburg Speedway is located east of Lawrenceburg, Ind. Take U.S. 50 east for 1 mile and the track is located at the fairgrounds.

•I-55 Raceway is located in Pevely, Mo. Take I-55 to Herculaneum (Exit 178) then head east on U.S. 61/57, go north to Herky-Horine Road, then 0.5 mile west.

TICKETS

• On Friday adult tickets for Rows H-U will be $33, with kids 12-under $15 for those rows Adult tickets for Rows A-G will be $30, with kids 6-12 $15, while children 5-under will be admitted free in rows A-G. General Admission tickets will be available for $28 for adults and they include the turn 1 bleachers & back chute. Children ages 6-12 general admission tickets are $15, with kids 5-under free. Also pit combos will be available, that includes a ticket of choice plus a pit pass for $35 (must be purchased in advance). All military personnel with proper ID, will be admitted for $25, with their children ages 6-12 admitted for only $10.

• Highlights: Donny Schatz picked up his series leading seventh win of the season on June 30 at 81 Speedway. He also had led exactly 200 laps on the season, more than twice as many as anyone else. … Joey Saldana who is second in points, won his fourth event of the season on July 1 at Dodge City Raceway Park. … Craig Dollansky was fifth on Friday night at 81 Speedway and is third in series points . … Jac Haudenschild used two eighth place finishes in Kansas to move into the fourth spot in points. … Daryn Pittman won the dash at Dodge City to earn the pole position for the 30-lap A-Feature, and finished fourth, and currently is fifth in points. … Brooke Tatnell led the first 11 laps on Saturday night and finished second to back up the fourth place run he had on Friday night. He is sixth in points. … Chad Kemenah is the leader in the standings for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award Presented by Maxim Racing and ButlerBuilt, and 7th overall in points. He picked up two more Top-10 finishes in Kansas, including a sixth place run on Friday night. … Jeremy Campbell continues to stay right on Kemenah’s bumper as the two freshmen drivers duke it out for the rookie title. The youngest member of the Mean 15 has 9 top-10 finishes and two top-fives this season, as he sits 8th overall in points. He was ninth on Friday night at 81 Speedway, and bettered that with a seventh on Saturday night. … Justin Henderson picked up his career best finish with the World of Outlaws on Saturday night, coming home fifth. He is solidly in the Top-Ten in the standings. … Randy Hannagan picked up a heat race win on Saturday night at Dodge City. Despite missing a few races earlier in the season to tend to family matters, Hannagan is 10th in points. … Terry McCarl is fifth in car owner points and 11th in driver points as he continues heals from a broken leg suffered at Sharon Speedway on May 20. McCarl won at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota on Sunday night, his first time back in a race since the injury. He won the dash to start on the pole Friday night, and led early on in the feature at 81 Speedway and finished third. On Saturday night, he set fast time and finished 6th. … Dion Hindi finished a strong 10th on Friday night at the Wichita Twister Showdown. He also picked up a heat race win at the Boot Hill Showdown … Brian Carlson continued his strong string of qualifying efforts, as he turned the seventh fastest lap on Friday night at 81 Speedway. … Bill Rose who is running the full season of World of Outlaws events, qualified for the feature at Dodge City. He is currently 14th in points. … Becca Anderson picked up her second Top-10 finish of the year at Dodge City Raceway Park. UPCOMING EVENTS
• A trio of races in the Buckeye state is on the horizon. The 18th Annual Brad Doty Classic will take place at Limaland Motorsports Park this year in Lima, Ohio on July 12. The Mean 15 will then do battle at the famed Eldora on July 14 in the Knight before the Kings Royal. The $50,000 to-win Kings Royal will roll off the push lane on July 15. A return to Posse Territory will take place on July 18 with the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway. This will be followed by three of the most intense nights of racing all season during the Summer Nationals at Williams Grove Speedway July 20-22.
