World of Outlaw Late Model Series headlines I-55 Raceway's Pepsi Nationals this Saturday, September

Pevely, MO (September 15, 2009) The World of Outlaw Late Model Series will headline the 27th Annual I-55 Raceway Pepsi Nationals held this Saturday, September 19th! Joining the World of Outlaw Late Models will be the UMP DIRTcar Late Models as they square off head to head in a 40 lap feature event paying $10,000 to the winner! Shane Clanton of Locust Grove, Georgia took home the 2008 Pepsi Nationals Title as he topped the thirty-nine car field to claim the $10,000 prize.

Kentucky's Steve Francis just took over the World of Outlaw Late Model point lead as he picked up a victory in the WoO Series last race with a last lap pass on Josh Richards for the win. Richards trails Francis by a mere 4 points in the chase for the 2009 WoO Title and both drivers will be ready to continue the battle at I-55 Raceway this Saturday. Jason Feger and Dennis Erb, Jr. will also be on hand as they are in the middle of a fierce battle for the 2009 UMP DIRTcar Late Model National Title.

The ultra-competive UMP DIRTcar Modifieds and UMP DIRTcar Sportsman will also be competing on the high-banked 1/3 mile dirt oval. The Modifieds carry a $1,000 top prize while the Sportsman winner will take home $500.

Gates will open at 3pm on Saturday with practice at 6pm and time trials at 6:30pm. Racing will kick off at 7pm.

The top three rows of the front stretch grandstands are reserved seats and reserve tickets are $32 each and are available by calling (636) 479-3219. General admission tickets are $27 with kids 12 years old and younger admitted FREE in the general admission sections. Pit passes will be $35 for all ages.
