PREVIOUS WINNERS
The twin events at Volusia Speedway Park marks the eighth and ninth appearances by the WoO Late Model Series to the DIRT MotorSports™ owned and operated half mile facility. The site of the 2005 WoO Late Model Series Championship season closer saw Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tennessee capture the event in a green flag to checkered flag run. Billy Moyer of Batesville, Arkansas made a dramatic last lap pass of Ashland, Kentucky driver Steve Francis for second place. Moyer and Francis actually tied for the Championship in the final points but Moyer won the tie-breaker of having more second place finishes than Francis during the season to secure the Championship title. Other previous winners at V.S.P. include: Steve Francis – 2/3/04; Bart Hartman, Zanesville, Ohio 2/4/04; Shannon Babb, Moweaqua, Illiniois 2/6/04; Scott Bloomquist 2/8/04; Billy Moyer 2/17/05 and Tim McCreadie – Watertown, New York 2/19/05.
SPECIAL EVENTS
A media conference, autograph sessions, televison coverage and a special ‘Kart Clash’ will highlight the off the track action for fans and media as a prelude to both nights on track racing fireworks.
2/16 – Media Conference @ 3:00p.m. at hospitality area located on west end of Volusia Speedway Park.. Media, sponsors and promoters invited. WoO Late Model Series drivers, Advance Auto Parts Modified Super DIRT Series ‘Elite 11’ drivers, officials from both series and DIRT MotorSports™ will be in attendance. In addition to the media conference, the DIRT MotorSports ultra-modern Mobile Media Center will be unveiled. Following the media conference, fans are invited to the hospitality area for an hour long autograph session beginning at 4:30p.m. with drivers from both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Advance Auto Parts Modified Super DIRT Series.
2/18 - Special ‘Kart Clash’ featuring drivers from the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and Advance Auto Parts Modified Super DIRT Series ‘Elite 11’. The drivers will battle against DIRT MotorSports management and select members of the media in go-carts at the Volusia Speedway Park go-cart track starting at 2:00p.m. Fans are invited to watch what will certainly be an entertaining afternoon. Immediately following the ‘Kart Clash’ the drivers of both the WoO Late Model Series and Advance Auto Parts Modified SDS will hold an autograph session until 5:00p.m.
TELEVISION
The SPEED cameras will capture all the exciting action of both ‘Daytona Dodge Chrysler/MOPAR Speed Shop/Valvoline 50’ events at Volusia Speedway Park. The events will be televised at a later date. The SPEED cameras will catch all the action of 15 World of Outlaws Late Model Series 2006 events.

2/16 – Media Conference @ 3:00p.m. at hospitality area located on west end of Volusia Speedway Park.. Media, sponsors and promoters invited. WoO Late Model Series drivers, Advance Auto Parts Modified Super DIRT Series ‘Elite 11’ drivers, officials from both series and DIRT MotorSports™ will be in attendance. In addition to the media conference, the DIRT MotorSports ultra-modern Mobile Media Center will be unveiled. Following the media conference, fans are invited to the hospitality area for an hour long autograph session beginning at 4:30p.m. with drivers from both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Advance Auto Parts Modified Super DIRT Series.
2/18 - Special ‘Kart Clash’ featuring drivers from the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and Advance Auto Parts Modified Super DIRT Series ‘Elite 11’. The drivers will battle against DIRT MotorSports management and select members of the media in go-carts at the Volusia Speedway Park go-cart track starting at 2:00p.m. Fans are invited to watch what will certainly be an entertaining afternoon. Immediately following the ‘Kart Clash’ the drivers of both the WoO Late Model Series and Advance Auto Parts Modified SDS will hold an autograph session until 5:00p.m.
TELEVISION
The SPEED cameras will capture all the exciting action of both ‘Daytona Dodge Chrysler/MOPAR Speed Shop/Valvoline 50’ events at Volusia Speedway Park. The events will be televised at a later date. The SPEED cameras will catch all the action of 15 World of Outlaws Late Model Series 2006 events.
