An Invasion of Purpose Built, Open-Wheel Race Cars with Wings
Paducah, KY- April 12, 2010- Looking for methanol-fueled, 850 horsepower action? The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series roars onto Paducah International Raceway on Friday April 16th. See World of Outlaws stars: “King of Outlaws” Steve Kinser, Joey Saldana, Jason Sides, Four-time and reigning Champion Donny Schatz, and 2009 race winner and current points leader Jason Meyers do battle in Heats, Dash, B-Main, and A-Main Features to determine Outlaw Supremacy.
When the World of Outlaws make their only appearance at PIR in the 2010 season, the best of the best will be on hand to battle for the $10,000 top prize as the world’s top sprint car drivers do battle on the high banked 3/8-mile oval. Adding to this excitement, double file restarts are in effect in 2010, which will make for one interesting night of racing.
Pit Gates open at 3:00 PM with Grandstands opening at 5:00 PM. Hot laps start at 6:15 PM with Qualifying at 6:30 PM. The dirt starts flying at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $30 for Adults and $5 for Children. Pit Admission will be $35.
Next up on the schedule in addition to the weekly “pedal to the medal” racing action is Night of NASCAR Stars 1 on April 22nd featuring two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion and PIR track co-owner Tony Stewart. Tickets for this event are on sale now. Be sure to see the local favorites battle it out with one of NASCAR’s finest.
2010 marks Paducah International Raceway’s fifth year with the current NASCAR driver owners. “Get Dirty” at PIR with racing every Friday night.
