NEWS & NOTES
• On the Web: The Official World of Outlaws Sprint Series Web site is
overhauled and now alive at http://www.dirtmotorsports.com/sprint.
Among the features are updated driver biographies with individual
statistics and pictures, race-by-race statistics, detailed track
information and race coverage, series news and team press releases.
Links to the media kit and official rulebook also can be found at the
bottom of the home page.

• Point games: There are four races remaining in the 2005 season, two
A-features and two preliminary features. If a driver wins and leads the
majority of the laps, the most points he can gain in the standings is
154 points for an A-feature and 40 points for a preliminary feature. On
the flip side, if a driver attempts to time trial at each of the
remaining events but never makes it out of the B-main, he will earn 75
points for a main event and 10 points for a preliminary feature. That
means there is a maximum of 388 points and a minimum of 170 points left
this season.

• 2006 Outlaws rolling: Donny Schatz’s runner-up finish in the Cactus
Classic Tuesday night at Manzanita Speedway was his 12th consecutive
top 10 A-feature finish in the ParkerStore J&J, including four of his
eight victories this season. … Daryn Pittman has finished outside the
top 10 only twice since the beginning of September, a span of races
that has seen him drive the Titan Garages & Carports Maxim to Victory
Lane four times. … Terry McCarl set the pace Tuesday night in the Big
Game Treestands Eagle at Manzanita Speedway for a series-leading 11th
time this season. … Craig Dollansky solidified his third-place position
in the championship standings with a third-place run in the
VMAC/Karavan J&J Tuesday night at Manzanita. Dollansky has 22 top fives
and 41 top 10s this season. … Brooke Tatnell, despite racing with a
broken right hand for the past six weeks, has kept the Castrol/Steel
Dreams Eagle in the top 10 in the championship standings.

• Return engagement: When the Outlaws competed in February at
Thunderbowl Raceway, Tim Shaffer raced to victory after leader Tim
Kaeding made with a lapped car only five laps from the checkered flag.
It was the first of two victories this season for Shaffer on 1/3-mile
ovals, setting the stage for his dramatic Silver Cup win at Lernerville
Speedway in July.

• The great Outdoor Channel: DIRT MotorSports, Inc., recently announced

Upcoming broadcasts will also include the World of Outlaws Sprint
Series annual banquet held at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Hotel
and Resort in Las Vegas.

Speedway was his eighth of the season, second-most this year with the
