It’s always exciting when a city supports a World of Outlaws Sprint
Series event, but Lawrenceburg, Ind., is taking it to extremes in 2006.

Not only is the town supporting the Outlaws, it’s sponsoring the entire
show. The City of Lawrenceburg Sprint Nationals will feature a unique
two-day sprint car event that features not only the World of Outlaws,
but also the All Star Circuit of Champions and the non-wing USAC
National Sprint Series.

On April 21, the Mean 15 racers will open the weekend at the racy
quarter-mile oval near Cincinnati by competing against the All Star
Circuit of Champions in the 40-lap World of Outlaws/All Star Winged
Sprint Showdown, which will be televised by The Outdoor Channel. Mean
15 racer Terry McCarl shattered the track record in 2005 when he posted
a lap timed by AMB-i.t. scoring in 10.058 seconds.

The following night, the USAC National Sprint Series takes the track
with its broadsliding non-wing thunder.

For advance reserve tickets to the World of Outlaws event, contact SLS
Promotions from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday at 815-344-2023,
or go to http://www.slspromotions.com for more information.

The USAC event put together by TWA Promotions will feature general
admission seating, with tickets available by calling the speedway at
812-539-4700.
