Spring Valley, MN— December 8, 2008—The World of Outlaws have visited countless tracks from coast-to-coast over the last 30 years, and will add another name to this amazing list in 2009, as the series makes their debut at the state-of-the-art Deer Creek Speedway in Minnesota on Wednesday, August 19 for a full night of racing.

Deer Creek Speedway is a high-banked 3/8-mile located in Spring Valley, Minnesota. The track was built in 1995 and held its first race the following season. The Queensland family purchased the track in 2001, and has owned and operated it ever since.

“Having the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series is as good as it gets in dirt track racing,” said Ryan Queensland. “We have had the World of Outlaws Late Models race here and have been building on that great event, and it has been our goal since we bought the track in 2001 to have the World of Outlaws here. We are certainly achieving a major goal we had set out for by having the World of Outlaws at Deer Creek Speedway in 2009. We are very excited.”

The World of Outlaws have contested nearly 20 A-Feature events in the state of Minnesota, dating back to 1979, with 20-time series champion Steve Kinser the winningest driver in the Land of 10,000 Lakes with four A-Feature wins at three different tracks. Nine drivers have won A-Feature events with the series over that span in the state.

Other current World of Outlaws drivers that have won in Minnesota with the series include: three-time and defending series champion Donny Schatz, who has three victories in the state, including two in-a-row at Princeton Speedway, Daryn Pittman who has won twice in the state, Minnesota native Craig Dollansky, who picked up a win at his home track of Princeton Speedway in 2004 and Kraig Kinser, who was victorious at North Central Speedway this past season.

All of the drivers competing full-time with the World of Outlaws in 2009 will be visiting Deer Creek Speedway for the first time. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series has competed at the track in each of the past four seasons.
