With the first East Coast swing of the year in the books, the World of Outlaws return to the Midwest this week for a pair of events in Ohio, beginning at Sharon Speedway on Friday, June 1. It will be the lone visit this season to the 3/8-mile track for the series.
Jac Haudenschild won a thrilling battle with Brooke Tatnell last season at Sharon Speedway to pick up the win in his home state. The native of Wooster, Ohio won the Crane Cams Dash to earn the pole position, with Tatnell taking the lead on the opening lap and leading the first 23 laps before Haudenschild made the pass for the win on the 24th circuit, with Tatnell nearly running him down at the end. Haudenschild enters the event this week with four Top-Five finishes as he closes in on his first A-Feature win of the season.
Donny Schatz enters the event at Sharon Speedway on top of the World of Outlaws championship standings. The reigning series champion has seven wins on the season and a series-best 18 Top-Five finishes as he chases his second consecutive title. He won the Eckerd Outlaw Showdown last Friday night at the Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Joey Saldana has had plenty of success at Sharon Speedway over the years with the World of Outlaws, as well as the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions. He won a World of Outlaws A-Feature at the 3/8-mile facility in 2002, and has led 94 laps in his career with the series at the track. Entering the event on Friday, June 1 the 1996 Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year is second in points on the strength of five wins and 16 Top-Five finishes.
Daryn Pittman finished fifth at Sharon last season, and enters the event this week third in World of Outlaws championship points. The native of Owasso , Oklahoma has two wins on the season and earned his eighth Top-Five finish of the season on Monday night at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park , after winning the Crane Cams Dash.

Kinser, who calls Bloomington , Indiana home, won his fifth race of the season on Monday night at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park in New York , and also has 13 Top-Five finishes as he enters the event fifth in points.
Jason Meyers won in his last visit to Sharon Speedway in 2005. He is currently sixth in points, just two markers out of the Top-Five. The native of Clovis , California has two wins and 10 Top-Five finishes. He has been one of the most consistent drivers over the last month-and-a-half of the season.
Craig Dollansky enters the event on Friday with momentum, after earning a fourth-place finish at Rolling Wheels on Memorial Day. Paul McMahan continues to close in on his first win of the season driving for two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart. The California native who now calls Nashville home is a very solid eighth in the championship standings.
Jason Solwold returned to action at Rolling Wheels after missing the event in Charlotte due to a severe allergic reaction to an insect bite. The native of Mt. Vernon , Washington finished sixth on Monday night, as he continues to close in on his first A-Feature win of the season. He won two preliminary features last season.
