M.A.R.S. Event on June 24th at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway Cancelled
Batesville, AR (June 13, 2006) Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) officials were notified today that the June 24th date scheduled for Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky was going to be cancelled due to the facility closing for the next ninety days to redo the surface of the track. At this time it is unclear if the M.A.R.S./U.M.P. Clash will be held that is scheduled at KLMS for July 29th. The M.A.R.S. tour would like to apologize to all of the fans, drivers, and sponsors, who had already made plans to attend. This situation was completely out of the hands of the Mid America Racing Series.
The M.A.R.S. competitors will be in action this Saturday, June 17th at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri in a challenge event with the Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA). Friday, June 23rd the stars and cars of the M.A.R.S. tour will roll into at Garnertown Speedway in Luray, Tennessee.

What is up with that. Some angry racers I would bet. Have not seen a statement or PR release from KLMS.
