CAMARGO, IL (10-31-06) Williamsville, IL’s Tiffany Wyzard has announced her commitment to spend the 2007 racing season contending for the Rookie of the Year title with the All Star Circuit of Champions. The 18 year old Wyzard is originally from Springfield, IL and has spent the past few seasons racing at local tracks such as St. Francois Speedway, Lincoln (IL) Speedway, Pittsfield, and Jacksonville. She moved from quarter midgets to mini sprints in 1999, then had the opportunity to run a full sized sprint car belonging to Brian Homer in 2005. "I've always wanted to race sprints," Tiffany said. "After five years of racing mini sprints it was time to move up."

"That's when we decided to buy our own sprint car," said Jim Wyzard, Tiffany’s father. “She races every weekend, sometimes two or even three times per weekend, and has become a familiar figure to fans in this area.”

Tiffany has spent the 2006 season running locally and occasionally venturing out to other regional events with the World of Outlaws and the All Stars. Her goal is to become a contender with the biggest names in the business and to do that you must first learn to compete with them on a regular basis. “Not only is she a fine racer,” Jim says, "but as a mechanic she's really good about letting you know what she needs for the car."

The level of competition in the All Star series will give Tiffany an opportunity to race with some of the best sprint car drivers in the country week after week. "She is so competitive on the track, everything else rolls off her. Nothing affects Tiffany at the race track," said Jim. The fact that she is female seems to make her that much more focused. "She's more afraid of failure as a female for all the other females," he continued. "She looks at all the other female drivers and analyzes their faults." Tiffany will attempt to turn that analysis into future success as she makes her bid for Rookie of the Year with the All Stars in 2007.

“We’re excited to have Tiffany come and run with us in 2007,” said series president Guy Webb. “She will be a nice addition to our line up and she will surely be a fan favorite.” Several other young drivers have expressed their interest in throwing their hat into the ring to compete for the $10,000 Rookie of the Year prize in 2007. “We’ve got a number of talented young drivers who would like to come and race with us next season,” said Webb. “The All Star series gives them all an opportunity to get out on the road and showcase their talent in the national spotlight.”
