Inside Line Promotions - LOCK HAVEN, Penn. (April 23, 2019) - X-1 Race Cars added another win to its total with Ryan Kissinger's first-place finish at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa., last Saturday.
"This was the third race for me this season," he said. "I'm a Selinsgrove regular, but the United Racing Club was in town the night we won. It felt pretty good to get a win with those guys. They're definitely a competitive bunch."
"I got the lead around the third or fourth lap," he said. "The car was just that good that I knew if I didn't make any mistakes I had a good chance at winning. We held onto the lead and made our way to Victory Lane."
It marked Kissinger's first victory of the season and the fourth of his career.
Kissinger and X-1 Race Cars Founder Ryan Linder connected a couple of years ago through a mutual friend. Kissinger now helps Linder around the shop and gets to witness the hard work put into the cars.
"I really like the fact that Ryan is the only person who welds on the car," Kissinger said. "Because it's not a mass-produced car, you can see such a difference in the quality of it. His stuff is so consistent and built really well."
Kissinger is also very involved with DMY Performance, which deals with engine building, and he is one of the few people to run a Ford engine in his area of the country.
"Danny from DMY Performance has been such a huge help to me with my engine program," he said. "It's been really cool to run X-1 Race Cars and a Ford Engine. That puts me in a pretty small market and to be able to succeed with those products shows how great they are."
