TRI-CITY SPEEDWAY ANNOUNCES XDCS SCHEDULE CHANGE - Tri-City Speedway Promoter Bob Wente has announced a date change for the Xtreme DirtCar Series event at the Granite City, IL track. The event that was originally scheduled for June 28, will move to August 1.

"There are a couple of reasons we made the date change that will be positive for our fans and the series," Wente said. "Our goal is to build an annual event for the Xtreme DirtCar Series at Tri-City Speedway by becoming the opening event of the Great Northern Tour heading to the USA Nationals. There are a lot of Saturday night tracks in this area, and having this event on Friday night will give a lot of fans the opportunity to see in person what they've seen on television."

The series has made one previous visit to Tri-City Speedway. Billy Moyer of Batesville, AR posted a victory in Granite City on his way to the 1997 Hav-A-Tampa Championship.
