XDCS pays Benton's purse!

Damn it sounds like the promoter of Benton needs his arse kicked HARD. what an a-hole! I applaude Doug for doing the right thing and paying, it's a shame he had to pay it out of his pocket. I will honestly be surprised if the track continues to exist and have big races, one things for sure they won't ever get another X race.

What a joke....

The entire evening Friday night at Auto Tire and Parts Race Park was nothing more than a joke. The fan count was extremely bad and the car count was not all that great either. I know alot drivers complain about the Good Year Tires, but that is what Xtreme requires, and the car count at LaSalle was 50, Benton I believe was only 28 (I could be off a little), but not much.

The track was in really bad shape, cars were bouncing all over with the ruts and holes, and this is a shame because the facility is nice and would be great if ran properly. But not paying drivers is not the way to go. Just my opinion. Thanks

Congratulations to Doug for doing the right thing, and as for as Benton goes, shame on you all. You can pretty much bet there won't be an interest in any large series racing there in the very near future, and I don't blame them one bit!

welp i guess racing there is done.....i was also told by a driver that he got his lease pulled???...can anyone confirm this???

The goodyear deal is just unfortunate because you can't get used ones in this area, if you want to race UMP and don't have decent LMs you can get good used ones from other local teams. It's just an area thing, when Xtreme gets there GY deal established, there will be new and used tires everywere. As for a ATPR I knew it was a bad deal, Bland done the right thing to pay the guys, but he should have done his home work and not givin dates to just anyone that asked for them. Paying those guys was like making the deal with goodyear, he did what he had to do to get cars, fans, and financial solvency in the end. I think 36 cars is a big turnout for that place, espaecially with the reginal lack of goodyears, the track did nothing to promote the race, or the stands would have been full.

Well said Dean. It's unfortunate that a racing series with that caliber of talent is treated unfairly for doing what they love. That's ok, can't wait to see them at I-55, and they will get paid, you can count on that!!!

You won't see the XDCS series at I-55. The WoO Late Model Series will be there in September.

The idea of Benton hosting that event in the first place was crazy!! Do you realize the payout for the Xtreme series was $42,500!!!!!! Where the hell did Benton think that money was coming from????? This is NO LIE and NO EXAGGERATION, the grandstands hold 3,500 people. Last year they average 259. This year I understand that number is substancially less than that. You do the math..

WOW! That is just plain crazy Millsey. I think the people running the show at Benton knew they weren't going to be able to pay. Sounds crooked if you ask me.

Yeah that's crazy. What were they thinking? Because even IF the even was a sellout and standing room only that's only $70,000, of which over 1/2 has to go to X. I don't know maybe that is ok money to pay out everybody/everything else but chances of the stands being jammed packed is a pretty fat chance.

An interesting read on DAO. It's so absurd that it's kind of sad! I am not a big X or WoO fan per se but I think X would have had a good thing going if they didn't go with the Goodyears.

I

Can't Believe The Promoter Told Them To Get The **** Out Of His Track. That Guy Is A Dip****, Oh And Hey Budman I Bet Jeep Would'VE Set Him Ablaze! Crazy ****er!
