CLARKSVILLE, TN - Logan Yates of Delta, AL raced to a
fourth-place finish in the 2006 StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East
Region point standings highlighted by five wins driving the #5 Yates Racing
Mastersbilt. Yates will be recognized for his achievements on Wednesday
night at the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series Awards Banquet at the
Weston Hotel in Tampa, FL.
Yates competed in 19 StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series
events in 2006 with 17 starts at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, and
two starts at Childersburg Speedway in Childersburg, AL. Along with his
five wins in StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series action at Talladega Short
Track, Yates also posted ten top five finishes, and 13 top ten finishes.
In addition to his StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series
success, Yates also had a third-place finish behind the 2006 StormPay.com
Dirt Late Model Series National Champion David Gentry of Lewisburg, TN, and
veteran Mike Head of Ellenwood, GA in the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model
Series National Touring event at Talladega Short Track on August 5.
The StormPay.com Awards Banquet will honor the top six drivers in both the
East and West Regions of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series, and the top
ten drivers in the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Tour.
Yates will be one of 84 invitees to the $3,000-to-win StormPay.com Weekly
Racing Series National Championship Race at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa,
FL on December 14. The top six drivers in each StormPay.com Weekly Racing
Series Region, and the top six drivers from the StormPay.com Weekly Racing
Series tracks have been invited to the National Championship Race.
