Bardstown, KY-August 13- Timmy Yeager of Harrodsburg, KY became only the second repeat Late Model of the season by taking the 25 lap Late Model main event at Bluegrass Speedway on Saturday night. Other feature race winners were Bobby Mattingly of Bardstown, KY in Sportsman and Avral Thompson of Loretto, KY in Street Stocks.

The Late Model feature event would see Timmy Yeager and Johnny Wheeler bring the field to the green flag, with Yeager taking the lead, with Bryan Barber diving to low side to nab second, followed by Wheeler, Tim Tungate, and Lee Devasier. Lap 2 would see Barber challenge Yeager for the top spot, while Devasier put the heat on Tungate for fourth. Devasier would drive by Tungate for the spot on lap 3 and take third from Wheeler one circuit later. Tungate and Wheeler would then begin to battle for fourth as Yeager pulled away from Barber a bit at the point. Tungate would secure the fourth slot on lap 7, as Joey Daniel began to challenge Wheeler for fifth on lap 8. This pair would battle for fifth, with Daniel claiming the position on lap 10. As the race neared the halfway mark, race leader Yeager began to work slower traffic, allowing Barber to close with a car length in turn three on lap 12. The only caution of the race would wave on lap 13 when fourth running Tungate slowed in turn three with mechanical problems and would be clipped by fifth place Daniel, parking both entries for the night. The restart would see Devasier and Wheeler now mix it up for the third position, with Devasier able to secure the spot on lap 15. Jeff Watson would now work on Wheeler for fourth and take it on lap 16. David Webb would began to go at this point and would begin to pressure Wheeler for fifth on lap 18, as Yeager and Barber continued to motor away from the field, with Yeager holding a comfortable advantage. Webb would make his way into the top five on lap 20 and set his sights on fourth place Watson. Yeager would continue to pull away and claim his second win of the season at Bluegrass in the Anthony Ferguson and Donnie Newton owned Ferguson Drywall/Three Rivers Material/Highwinds Angus Farms/Mulligan Plumbing/Skillsaw Designs sponsored #r25 C.J. Rayburn Race Cars, Pro Power Race Engines entry. Barber would take second, with Devasier finishing third, while Watson and Webb completed the top five. Rounding out the top ten were Wheeler, Billy Dever, Mike Hawley, Bryant Woodcock, and Richard McDonald. Seventeen entries saw Yeager be the SpeeDecals Vinyl Graphics fast qualifier at 16.546 seconds and also win the dash. Watson was the heat race victor.

Bobby Mattingly would halt Danny Blackwell's winning streak in the Sportsman division as the former multi-time Bluegrass Speedway Street Stock track champion scored his first Sportsman feature win leading all 15 laps of the Sportsman feature event. Mattingly drove the Mattingly Building/Harmon Builders/Miller Lite/Steve Hughes Race Engines/Springfield NAPA/St. Joe's Garage/Cox Interior/Tutt's Body Shop/Loper Floral/B and B Motorsports sponsored #3m Chevy Malibu mount to the win. Blackwell would claim runner-up honors, with Roger Cecil, Jimmy Bryan, and Pat Hagan rounding out the top five. Completing the top ten were Todd Coffman, Timmy Glazer, Derek Bottoms, Bobby Lawson, and Steve Rector. Fifteen entries saw heat race wins scored by Blackwell and Mattingly.
