YOUNG GUNS LATE MODELS AND MODIFIEDS along with FASTRAK Late Models at OSP
The YOUNG GUNS late models and the YOUNG GUNS MODIFIEDS will be back at Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Savannah GA this winter along with the FASTRAK late models WINTER NATIONALS.
In 2006 the YOUNG GUNS portion of the OSP event hosted cars from as far away as Arizona and Canada. The YOUNG GUNS event has quickly become the largest events of its type in the nation where the younger up and coming drivers can “show their stuff”. Both Open wheel modifieds and late models from all over the country are once again expected to return this season. Being the weekend after the Daytona 500 should bring about large crowds at this show as fans will be fired up and ready to go racing for the 2007 season.
Although some confusion was evident during the event in 2006, Management changes have been made along with the FASTRAK Late Model Series Officials working in conjunction with OSP Officials helping to move the show along smoothly. “There were obviously some things happen last year that we need to make sure are not repeated for this seasons YOUNG GUNS event” stated track General Manager Faron Jenkins. “Our staff has worked on several occasions with the staff From FASTRAK and this event will move along as planned. There will be less classes so everyone will be assured having the opportunity to race as planned. Our goal at OSP is to make this one of the Nations PREMIER events.
