Have talked to you before. Glassman from Flanagan. How much are you asking? Is this a clip car on springs or 3 link? Looking for 3link. Will you give somebody set up sheets? What color is the body? Thanks Gkassman

I'm asking $8,000 for it with the lead and everything but drivetrain. The car is a full frame metric car on stock 4 link rear suspension. I do have the mounts and the links for 3 link also. It all comes with it including 2 driveshafts, bellhousing, motor mounts. Ill throw in a bunch of stuff if someone is really interested. As far as the setup sheets go, we run on 4-link so a 3-link setup is quite a bit different. I'd be willing to put you in the ballpark though. The colors are still the same, black and yellow like the pics. The car has a brand new body on it including a nose. Feel free to call if anyone has any questions. Thanks

$8000 for a roller that's 7 years old? Your outta your mind.

Wow guys, I just lost a ton of respect for you. It's one thing to not like the guy but do you really need to bash his ad? I'd like to think you're a bit more mature than this but I guess not.

Who is bashing anybody on here? The people that work at race shops should know how much this stuff really costs. You would be a fool to pay over $3700 for a Sportsman roller plain and simple. Just somebody giving you cheat sheets and telling you the setup doesn't mean crap unless your a good driver. Why would anybody want to get rapped here and pay that much is my question. Good honest people looking out for other's just isn't good enough for people these days. If you think that's a steal then by all means buy it. Your a whinner!!!

Dave you are correct about not liking him but that's not why I made my comment about it. $8k for a 7 year old sportsman roller is just outrageous. I will never take away his driving ability but his cocky attitude can kiss my u know what. Just bc it is a proven car doesn't mean the next owner will have the success Jeff had with it. Now through in one of them $12k aara legal engines and I would pay $8k. But come on be serious $8k for a roller? Would you pay it? I know you wouldn't so don't say you would to try and prove me wrong. That's why he still has the car. Drop the price and I am sure it would sell. I could see 5k for it but that's it. Call me immature if you wish but I am only stating the obvious. Good luck with selling the car though Jeff. Hope you find a ****er to pay that price. JMO

Well here i go!!! when is the last time any of you guys won a national championship? If the man thinks his stuff is worth that then that is his opinion!! Its bullsh$t you guys are on here slaming his post. But i guess im dirtboy and have a habit of the same thing lol... I really dont think the age of a car matters if the upkeep is done and you guy's know damn well he does that. The car havnt changed any since then and there is someone who will buy it and get a nice, fast car.. JMO

The last time I checked, a roller never won a race and that's my opinion. I know his stuff is good and don't doubt his driving ability. It shows in his stats above. Just trying to help out the average person in life, but then again what do any of us know, nobody is perfect. Sorry if I offend you Jeff, hope you sell that roller so fred flinston here can race it someday.

01-02-2011, 08:52 PM
Yeah Dirtboy you definately shouldn't be one complaining about someone voiceing there opinion. We all know your the king of that.

Dave34
01-02-2011, 09:15 PM
Regardless of what you think or believe, there is some value in starting off with a proven car and if you have the money then buying this car is the next best thing to starting off with a brand new car (which will cost around $12k). And your lying to yourself if you really believe you commented out of kindness or to be a good samaritan. You wouldn't have said anything if it wasn't Jeff's ad.

And Craig, I think we all realize it takes a roller with a motor and someone driving it to win.

"you would be a fool to pay more than 3700 for a roller"????????????????? i think $8000 is high, but you get what you pay for. I wouldnt expect a top notch complete roller for $3700 or under

I agree with this guy. Everyone knows that Jeff has good equipment, but 8 is a huge number.

And Dirtboy, age DOES matter. No matter how well taken care of it is( and we all know Jeff takes care of it)... its this thing called metal fatigue. That happens when a car is raced.

Dave34
01-02-2011, 10:48 PM
I agree with you on the aged car TC but would you rather have an '08 that is not proven or an '04 that won a feature at Pevely just last season with a different driver and has multiple wins/championships? Look at the Eilers car, that car has won a ton of races and continues to win and its old as sin. To each their own, just not big on people ripping on a guys price when they don't have any interest in the car.

Good luck to all you guys this coming season.

Oh no Dave, I know what you're saying, and I agree with you, to a point.. I was just stating to dirtboy the age does matter.

And I was interested, for about half the asking price. Lol.

I see lots of old cars that are winning.. Tommy thanks for telling me in a nice way lol. Most guy's on here are not so easy on me. I think if somebody wants to win and do it fast, then why not get a proven car. Jimmy what did you end up getting out of your car,you say you wouldnt pay more then $3700 so im just wondering.

Dave, no one was bashing Jeff. We have our right to our opinion. Listen you would not pay that kind of money for that would you..... I would pay 8 grand for a complete car, not for just a plain roller.... the parts that are on the car don't come close to 8 grand. If someone were to ask me if they should buy the car, and i know someone that was interested in buying the car, but they know better than to pay that.... I would suggest someone to buy that car, but not for that kind of money. We have are right to an opinion on here dave, its sad you say you lose respect for someone just looking out for others....

Dave34

I don't believe your just looking out for others.

BRUCATO
01-03-2011, 09:18 AM
If thats how u feel, thats your opinion..... I know someone that is intersted in buying that car, but not for that price.... He can keep it for that.... It's crazy to think that is a good price for that. There is a car that sold for 10 grand a few months ago complete, age does not matter at all really on them sportsman cars.....HELL, MY CAR IS 10 YEARS OLD NOW, AND STILL A GREAT CAR. If he was looking out for anyone he would not sell it for that, plain and simple. You would not even buy it for that. Nor would you try to sell your car for that. My opinion. I don't bash anyone on the internet, if I have something to say i will say it to them, not on here.... And i think jeff knows that...

Racing Edge
01-03-2011, 10:08 AM
I didn't list the car on here to look out for anyone else! Not a single one of you is interested in the car or you would have picked up the phone and called me. So how can you bash the price if you have no clue what the car even has on it or what it comes with??

Dave34
01-03-2011, 10:41 AM
Matt you're right. I wouldn't sell my car for that price because it hasn't won anything and doesn't have half as good of parts. I wouldn't buy it either because I don't have the money, the same reason I have the car I have....it was less money.

There are a ton of things on here for sale that are overpriced. You only chose to rip on this one. Good luck being the price police.

smaldirt28
01-03-2011, 10:45 AM
Jeff, I don't need to see your car to know what's on it. I am sure it has the best money can buy. So with that being said I just added up almost everything to make it a complete roller with all brand new prices on the best parts and you are around $6k. That's counting a new body too and wheels. The only thing I didn't factor in was the chassis itself. So yeah $8k is way over priced since the parts are used and worth half or a little more than that. I am looking over for people that want to get a good car without being rapped. When the saying goes "you can't build it for that price" is said it doesn't relate to this. I could build a brand new car for the same price or cheaper than ur asking for a used 7 year old car. Just bc it has won track championships doesn't mean the new owner would be fast in it like you were. So why jack the price up bc of that? Since that is what you are asking for it I hope you get it but I will still hate to see someone pay that price for a used car when they can build new. You and Dave and whoever else can hate me all you want for voiceing my opinion on this but when you post on a public forum then you run the chance of people not agreeing with you. Well enough said.

Dave34
01-03-2011, 12:15 PM
Let's see that parts list Tommy.

smaldirt28
01-03-2011, 01:20 PM
There is no need for me to type my complete list on here to show you that i am correct in what i stated above about having roughly $6k in parts at new prices. I am not going to continue going back and forth. I stated my thoughts on it and thats that. You are a racer and know damn well where i am coming from. But if it is that big of a deal i will take the time to type it all out for you. So unless you want to keep going back and forth over your thoughts and my thoughts then i am done. I made my point. Good Day!!

Dave34
01-03-2011, 01:55 PM
If you're going to throw bs numbers out there then I think you should list them. Otherwise don't worry about how much he's selling it for. I just priced all of this stuff with impressive for a new car for myself and its much more than you are leading people to believe. Let's just leave it at this.......he is wanting top dollar for the car as a roller. If someone is wanting to start off with the best equipment possible (other than building a new car) and have the money to spend then this is the car for them and it comes with a bunch of spare parts.

By the way, I don't hate you and Matt, I always enjoyed racing with you guys. I was just surprised at your comments. Good luck this season with your mod and same to you Matt with your sportsman.

You can ask anything for a car maybe he asked so much because he don't want to get rid of it. You don't have to give him anything for it. Pretty immature to cry about what a guy is asking for his car. Jeff is the champ because he carries himself like one.

What kinda questions you got?

RichieFor20
01-23-2011, 07:29 PM
Is this the backup car that was run at I-55 at the end of last year by another driver (Jeff brought both cars that night). If this is the backup that ran that night I think it won one heat race?

RichieFor20
01-23-2011, 07:44 PM
Jeff record speaks for itself. The stuff he's selling deserves a premium price in my opinion. Plus, what's he asking is probably just an asking price.

Racing Edge
01-23-2011, 08:58 PM
Yes this is the spare car that ran at the end of the season. On championship night it won the heat along with the feature with Scott Stuppy behind the wheel.

I'm asking $8,000 for it with the lead and everything but drivetrain. The car is a full frame metric car on stock 4 link rear suspension. I do have the mounts and the links for 3 link also. If the car comes like he sets his cars up, the knowledge would be worth the cost of the car. Even if you took the parts off and put them on a new frame. Still have to be a good driver though.
