Lebanon,Mo.-Late race passes, and posistion swapping has been the story this season at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway and Sat. night proved to provide another night of close racing action as Shane Essary used a high-side late race pass to claim his second consecutive LateModel Feature win in which the race saw 4 different leaders.

As the field came down to take the green flag,Larry Clawson jumped to the early control, but the race was red flagged as Shane Essary slid on the banks in turn 4 bringing out an original restart. As the field went racing again,Clawson again jumped to the early lead with Brian Schutt following close by.All eyes were on row 4 as heat race winners Essary and opening night winner Jason Bodenhamer were trying to work through the field.Clawson making his first start of the season at I-44 was setting a fast pace as Jared Harris had moved by Schutt and into second place. On lap 5,Harris nosed into the lead only to have Clawson regain it in turn 2.On lap 8 the first yellow waved as 5th place running Larry Jones came to a stop with engine problems. On the restart,Clawson kept it straight and high as he again jumped to the lead with Bodenhamer and Essary now in the top 5.Bodenhamer the opening night winner went from fourth to second as he picked off Schutt and then Harris in only 2 laps.Bodenhamer then set his sights on the leader Clawson. On lap 11,Bodenhamer shot to the lead using the low side as Essary had moved into third.Bodenhamer had then began to pull away from the field as Clawson ans Essary fought it out for second place as essary began moving up on the low side as the battles behind the leaders were tight as Harris,Schutt, and point leader Darrell Mooneyham were in one pack and Reid Millard.Mike Montague(who had started 17th) Danny Atkinson and Chris Comer were in another pack for positions along with Reggie Jackson. On lap 20,early leader Clawson jumped the cushion in turn 4 bringing out the yellow as Essary had pulled up to Bodenhamer's back bumper. On the restart, Bodenhamer stayed on the low groove as Essary pulled up on the high-banks and set sail.It was on lap 22 were Essary made the winning pass in turn 4 right-up against the wall and leader Bodenhamer fell to second as Schutt and Mooneyham were in a battle for third place. With Essary staying high,Bodenhamer moved from the low groove to upstairs and closed on the new leader. As thw white waved,Bodenhamer pulled up to 3 car lengths, but in the end Essary claimed his second feature win followed closely by Bodenhamer,Schutt,Mooneyham and Harris in the top 5.

In Modified feature action,Terry Kirk moved around early leader Don Luna on lap 3 and held off repeated challanges from defending champion Erik Maggard as Kirk claimed his first win of the season and became the 7th different feature winner this season.Maggard who had put pressure on during much of the race fell out as he lost a driveshaft on lap 13 moving Jamie ragland into the runner-up spot followed by Steve Martin, point leader Eric Hudson and Steve Picou at the stripe.

As the SuperStocks took to the track the question was could Larry Prewitt pull off 10 in a row.As the field took the green, young Trent Harrison in the 55 Chevy jumped to the early lead with Tim Petty staying right on his inside and defending champion Mike Joplin moving quickly into third. With Harrison and Petty battling side by side, point leader Prewitt was still caught in traffic trying to shake free. The caution waved on lap 6 for James O'Neil's spin bunching the pack up.On the restart Petty moved around Harrison to take control as Prewitt had moved into fourth place.A yellow for debris on lap 8 would bunch the field up again as Petty,Harrison,Joplin and now Prewit were bunched up.Prewitt began his charge to the low side then up stairs while Petty was staying down low.The yellow waved as 5th place running Shawn Danuser spun in turn 4 as Petty now had Prewitt on his back bumper. On the restart,Prewitt went upstairs and took control as Joplin Petty,Rick Brown and Harrison were battling. The final yellow waved as Harrison's night went up in smoke as his car came to a halt in turn 4 with an expired motor. On the restart,Prewitt pulled away to claim his 10th consecutive win followed by Joplin,Brown, early leader Petty and Danuser.

Jordan Holloway took the lead on lap from leader Tim Riffle on lap 4 and held off repeated charges late in the race from Robbie Bryant in claiming his second FactoryStock feature win of the season.Current point leader Micheal Maggard came charging home into third followed by Steve Schultz and early leader Riffle at the stripe over a large field of FactoryStocks.

The Sprint Car Feature provided last lap dramatics as the field of 14 took the opening green as pole setter Jody Juhl had problems on the start and fell back quickly. While trying to get into the pits,Matt Tatro and Juhl made contact and Tatro flipped several times in turn three, but was able to walked away unhurt. On the restart,Randy Roberts who was going for 4 in arow between Lebanon and LA Raceway in LaMonte powered to the front as JP Compton moved quickly into second place followed by Scott Wedelstadt,Terry Moore, and Eric Todd. With Roberts setting on the high-side and pulling away from the field.Runner-up Compton pulled into the pits early along with Moore during a caution taking then out of contention. On the restart,Roberts pulled away again as point leader Joe todd had now moved into the runner-up spot and almost half a lap behind. The caution waved on lap 11 as John Rowland's machine came to a halt in turn 1 bunching up the field again. On the restart,Joe Todd shot to the inside groove as Roberts stayed upstairs. The duo battled side-by-side until lap 13 when Todd made the winning pas on the backstretch and held off a late surge from Roberts in claiming his second victory of the season floowed closely by Clint Todd,Eric Todd, and Scott Wedelstadt at the finish.

The Bomber feature was a game of musical chairs as the field of 20 took the green flag as Robert White jumped to the early lead with a pack including Donnie Jackson,Chad Cromer,Derrick Peterson,Justin Foust and Brandon Knutdson battling for positions behind second place running Kelly Weigle.White had pulled away from the pack until a lap 5 caution for several cars spinning in turn 4 bunched the field together. On the restart,White pulled away again as now last Weeks winner Dusty Rhoades came charging through the field followed by Knutdson,Foust and several others. On lap 6 during a caution, leader White pulled into the pits giving the top spot to Knutdson followed by Rhoades,Jon MuilenburgFoust David Hendrix and several others. On the restart,Knutdson grabbed the lead as Rhoades had now moved into second and was applying pressure. On lap 9,Rhoades shot to the high-side to grab the lead and record his second straight victory of the season followed closely by Knudtson,Muilenburg,Foust and David Hendrix at the stripe.
